Store pets are added every two months. ^^ I realized there wasn't a store pet explanation in the thread so I added one! Also added some newer suggestions.

CS pets do not have official names, but many have a common or widely accepted name that is used by most of the community. [snip]

Something I noted was that some of our unofficial names are semi-official. Some of our items that are based on pets are named with the unofficial names. This is usually only the case for old pets and URs, so I guess that makes sense.

It's not the plushies I'm thinking of; those usually have generic names. I'm thinking of some stickers. See the stickers here and the stickers here (there's even a common abbreviation there!) (... lol "Racoon") (I have since learned that Racoon is a legit spelling variant oops)

I don't know if this is noteworthy enough to mention in the FAQ (or if it is but should probably be left out), but I thought I'd mention that the common names of our oldest pets + some URs are semi-official in that they show up in official site item names

Considering how few of the pets have "official" names (and even then you could still call them something else and not be wrong) I think I'll leave that out for the sake of simplicity. ^^

I have a question not answered here,I have a pet that I can't find in the archive,where can I find information on it?

I have this same question, and looking over previous answers no.

For example, I have an uncommon dog, that says it was adopted in 2010 - 1 - 16. Yet I have searched the archive and can not seem to find the exact event/month it goes to (How I sent my groups up). I also have a couple other pets I'm having the same problem with.

Any ideas?
