One day I was out walking through a swampy meadow, cause earlier I heard some thrashing and low growls of something, I was really busy at that time so I decided to go back later. When I went out I didn't hear anything so I almost went back home but I decided to go check the area out anyway and it was a good thing I did, when I got to the area where I thought the thing was and I didn't see anything but at that time I heard the low growl and then I saw a flash of something, I walked over to it and pulled my pocket knife out just in case the thing attacked, when I reached it just froze in horror, I thought I was a cougar or some type of being cat stuck in deep grassy mud, I looked at it and then it turned my way it stared into my eyes and then it extended something at first I thought it was it's tail or leg but then I realized it was a wing right then I knew this was a very special animal I raced through my mind to see if I remembered anything that it might be, then I remembered my dad telling me stories of these giant cats with wings and long tails, it was a marra I was so stunned and then I knew I needed to help it no matter what, I ran back to the house got a shovel, a gallon bucket and dragged the hose as far as I could, I filled the bucket up with water and hurried back to the cat, I started dumping the water on the the cat but my bit so I could clear the mud, it took about a half an hour to get the cat free, once it was free it leaped up and pushed me to the ground, I looked up right at its mouth then into its eyes he was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, he growled and then tried to fly away but once he got in the air he fell I got up and realized he was scared but knew he was still needing help he got up looked at me and started walking away into the woods, sense that day it's been about a month and every day I go to the edge of the woods and bright him food and he would keep his distance for a while but then he warmed up to the feeling of me being there and I hope we can get to know each other and become good friends
