Poppyspots emerged from the nursery. "What's all the hubbub?" she asked.

"Mistypelt's patrol still hasn't returned," someone said. "I'm afraid..."

Poppyspots felt a chill and her fur stood up. This was very bad news. The
killer had been exiled, hadn't they? The Clan was safe. Or so they had
thought.

Two cats emerged from the bush, wide-eyed and scared. "I couldn't find
Mistypelt!" one said. "And she was on patrol with me..."

"The killer has struck again!" someone wailed. Soon, the Clan was yowling
in agreement. They would have to exile another cat. This time, with so
few members, the vote was split. But the result was clear: Poppyspots had
to go.

"What?" she said, frightened. "But, I've been with the kits the whole time!"

"So that we'd never guess who you are, but the game is up, killer!"
someone snarled.

Poppyspots turned tail and fled. She became a kittypet and gave birth to
four healthy kittens who would never know of their Clan roots as the
former ThunderClan queen would never speak of her Clanmates.

ThunderClan, time is running out! You have exiled yet another innocent
cat, this time a queen! Find the killer...before they find you.

Burningkit yawned. She was tired and afraid. The whole day had been spent
keeping her and Ghostkit busy so that they wouldn't think of the recent events.
It hadn't worked. She had become paranoid now, and was sure that she would
be next. Burningkit was right. She was next, and would never live to be a
warrior.

Without the guard to protect the Clan, the killed snuck into the nursery that
night and bit Burningkit's neck. The kit bled out silently and without a sound.
Up in StarClan, Burningkit was told who the killer was by those who had seen
their murderer. The little spirit hoped that her Clan would find a way to avenge
their deaths.

ThunderClan, you have failed Burningkit, who had been given a second chance
at life! Now, she is dead and you only have yourselves to blame. Find the killer
and exile them, before no one is left!
