I am entering to become a full time artist. I will try to average one adopt per week.

Wow, thank you for entering to everybody who has- looking great so far.

A helpful tip: So far I haven't seen many people attempt and complete any of the more complicated markings ('cheetah', 'leopard', 'clouded', 'tiger' and 'tabby'). You don't have to do them (as I know myself how long it takes to draw them) but if you complete at least one entry with an example of these markings it will seriously increase your chances of winning a spot on the team! =^u^= <3

I have looked over different websites but just don't understand, I'd be willing to try learn again though but I struggle?

@sniper: There's a really handy genetics guide for Tignix on the front page. It explains all the different dominant and recessive genes, and has examples for each.

Sorry for not responding sooner deary! ^^;

I've tried to make the Tignix Genetics Guide as close to real-life genetics as possible (to make it easier to understand), but if there's something in particular you want me to help you with or doesn't look right please PM me and I'll do what I can. If you're still struggling with understanding genetics I would recommend having a look through some of the links I've provided below:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/gcsebitesi ... rev2.shtml

I hope some of these help! :3 <3

~ ANNOUNCEMENT ~

So many wonderful entries so far guys! This species has been a little biology (especially genetics XD ) side-project of mine since 2013, so it really means a lot to me to see people entering with such enthusiasm. Thank you so much! ;u; <3

Since this competition has been open for several months now I'm going to start picking some of the current entrants to become either Full-time, Ghost or Guest Artists (as well as future Breeding Artists) for the main adopt soon. I'll post more details on each role once I've picked the winners for this round.

Just remember:

> Make sure that none of your entries are unfinished/WIPs
> If you want to be a Breeding Artist when the breeding feature opens make sure you've included an accurate genetic code for each entry (you don't need to worry about this if you're not interest in this role)
> Not-compulsory-but-useful info: it'd be a good idea to have at least three entries and one example of complicated markings to demonstrate your technique and style (again you don't have to, but it could be the difference between a Full-time and a Guest Artist placement

Deadline for Round 1: Saturday, 11th March 2017.

This competition will still be open permanently, so if I don't pick you this time round don't worry- you might get in next time!

Good luck to all!!! =^u^= <3
