Why do they keep their eyes closed?: Growing up as an orphan with her sister, Siamarys had a fascination with humans, and believed the world true and pure. She would always take quick breaks and sneak down her mountain to catch a glimpse of the nearby human village. One day, her sister followed her. Enraged at finding her there, she yelled at her to go back up the mountain. Unfortunately the commotion attracted the attention of the humans, who were starving due to the harsh conditions. Excited, Siamarys tried to run towards the human, but her sister stopped her, speaking in a harsh whisper. "Run.". The human slowly pulled out a gleaming hunting knife and started towards the pair. Terrified, Siamarys fled, not looking back. When she finally did, what she saw revealed her to the cruelness of the world. Refusing to see anymore, she kept her eyes shut from that day onward.

Why do they keep their eyes closed?: Lilunelle is sensitive to light, and hates it when something gets in their eyes. They preferred their eyes to be closed because of their condition, and have nothing to cover their eyes with. They feel as if they can just daydream about the night sky, the stars and moon, the darkness of their closed eyes captivating them.
