Velvetine, or Velvet as strangers referred to him as, glanced about the small garden in front of his den. He barked and chirped happily around a caterpillar sitting atop a rose. He set a Valentines day card in front of the insect, but it just climbed atop it, chewing on the folded piece of construction paper. He whined as if a dog, disapointed at the bug's reaction. I don't suppose he noticed the "friend" ahead was just a caterpillar, but Velvet isn't the smartest creature.
