Orcas aren't usually on my radar as far as conservation is concerned-- mostly the critically imperiled species (like gulf of California porpoises) get the bulk of my focus, but reading about the Puget Sound/south orcas is extremely concerning. I'm not happy reading how badly off they are, not at all. If the populations I previously throught were doing okay are nose-diving this badly and nothing is being done, what hope is there for species even worse off?
I'm going to keep an eye and ear out for updates on the south orca populations; thanks for having that in your signature, I don't think I would've heard about it otherwise. I really hope things turn around for the best.

I love how passionate you are about these amazing animals, as they are often overlooked and some species are in need of dire help. Now i'm not a hardcore lover of cetaceans, but its great to see people that are.
Anyway, just stopping by, keep educating the world of CS!
i go on hiatus a lot.
