[ Cybil ]
"On the whole, human beings want to be good,
but not too good, and not quite all the time..."

Cybil sighed, a mere breath shuddering across her lips
as she looked between the two wolves,
"We will discuss
your role as Beta in detail later. I know you are of alpha
blood, but you are beta here. You will have to adjust
fast and keep up with the pack law if you are to help
us in any way." Her tone was calm, the wolf within
her reigning in any more aggravation she might have.
She'd pull Alistair aside, alone, later. They would need
time to work out their differences, but the first thing she'd
request is that he stop bringing up his alpha blood line.
It was not shameful for an alpha to come from betas, but
it didn't help if the beta had to bring up pure lingeage every
time she was around. Trying to or not, his presence undermined
her rank, and it worried the she wolf greatly. She'd need
the packs respect to lead, and she could not have that if her
Beta doubted her abilities. Still. Everyone deserved a chance, and
Cybil was not a cruel person.
In a more hushed tone, the girl looked over to her cousin, eyes
pleading for assistance. Amos would always be there to support
her, that much she could count on. True to his rank, Amos nodded,
flashing a brilliant smile as he stepped down, looping his lanky arms
over Mika and Alistair's shoulders, and poking his head between the
two, "Well I for one am excited about this coronation. My beautiful
cousin an alpha. Mom and Dad would be so proud." As he spoke, he
let his power escape, wrapping the two wolves in comforting
warmth. Even two alpha bloods couldn't resist relaxing to an Omega's
touch, and Amos used every bit of his power now to lighten the mood,
and bring the situation to a peaceful close that would allow Cybil to
be coronoated with no questions of her worth. The pack couldn't
afford tensions at this kind of time, and it was Amos's job to make
sure that any unease was settled.
