What is a Quolllion?

Quollions are soft, gentle creatures. They are intelligent, swift, agile, and graceful. The spines on their head, back, and tail are not sharp -- their purpose is to help them change direction as they run, like rudders, or sails of a ship. The older the Quoll, the longer their spines.
Quollions also have large ears, which make their hearing excellent. They are also known for their dexterity, since they have opposable thumbs on all four paws. Their claws retract, but can also extend several inches farther than they usually do, in case violence ensues, though it rarely does.
Quollions are not naturally violent creatures, but if provoked by another species, they will defend themselves. They can only breed within their species. Their markings and features are variant, however, and you may often see a Quollion with different manes -- longer, shorter, braided, wavy, anything you can think of! Quolls are extremely adaptable, so they may grow membranes between their pads and spines to help them swim, or feathers if they live high and in windy places. They grow thicker fur in cold places, and thinner fur in warm places. Quolls also hatch from eggs, and can be born in litters as large as four.
This is a closed species!
