Yus, right now in fact.
But I did update on Sunday.
Just very late Sunday, so it may have been a different time for you. But yesterday I couldn't get on because my brat of a brother was on instead.
But right now I'm in the library at mah school with a good thirty minutes up for typing.
Oh, and Angel, yus. To everything said thus far. Your intellect serves you well. And Ser, I know. My mother doesn't seem to get that distractions help headaches, and makes it worse by making me get off. So I just don't tell her unless its really bad and I can't do much but sit there. Oh, and I have Mr. Pointy right here. I use him to stab apart the walls of writer's block.
NOW FOR BOOK :D
Chapter 2d
-------->Continuation
Its dimmer inside the shop and everything is coated in a layer of dust. From the freezers in the back I can smell things rotting in the heat. Yuck. Ducking under a beaded partition, I trot over to the shelves and peer around. Ice follows in behind me, sounding disgruntled, while Dagger stands in the doorway, wrinkling his nose.
"It smells in here," He comments.
"Shut up," I say, walking into the next isle over. Dagger doesn't say anything. I look at some of the boxes on the bottom and I see bags full of dried fruit. I remember my mom buying me the sugared mangos and pineapples and feeding them to me. Smiling, I throw all the fruit into one box and turn around, thrusting it into Ice's arms. He looks inside the box and makes a face.
"What?"
"This has been sitting in here for six months. Is it safe to eat?" He asks. I think he's more worried the smell of fish will linger.
"Should be. Its preserved," I chuck in nuts and noodles. I trot over to the next isle. It feels weird to be here, systematically going through the shelves. Almost like I'm grocery shopping, but in a store full of rotten food with no clerk demanding money for it. I'm surprised I didn't think of coming here before. Almost everything seems preserved or edible.
"Oi, Dagger, get in here," I say, tossing spices into Ice's full box. After hearing a lack of obeying footsteps, I turn around. Dagger's not in the doorway. Since I'm not always the sharpest knife in the knife drawer, I just walk outside to take a look.
Before you jump to conclusions thinking that something bad happened, stop thinking. Now.
I see Dagger's keeled over across the parking lot, throwing up his insides. Geez. Sure bad fish smells but so do dead bodies, and those are everywhere here.
Dismissing Dagger's wussyness, I walk back in and see Ice stacking candy bars on the checkout desk.
"Can we eat those?" I ask. Calcified rock hard chocolate bars are usually not something I enjoy putting in my mouth.
"Not sure. But I can give them to Coon next time he bothers me."
"Thats a bit devious," I observe mildly. Ice shrugs and puts them in a second box.
((dang I have to go now bell rang gack!Must hurry))
