Vanilla skies
in teary eyes
reflected like a mirror when
The world turns slowly, barely breathing
Longing for the days of then

An old ink quill
is lying still
upon the desk beside my bed
A piece of fragile, folded paper
Holds the thoughts inside my head

The starry night
sheds gentle light
But all for naught without the moon
The perfect form that tinges dreamland
only means I'll wake up soon

Such beauty reigns
to burst my veins
I beg the golden hair to stay
My heart and soul upon a note
Yet I'm alone on Valentine's day
