Azula was born of Hotaru and Randian, mates who soon broke up after arguments over how to raise her. She was born on August 10th and the sight of her to her mother was equally amazing and terrifying for on her back hung wings, similar to that of her mother. Hotaru knew how those near her pack treated viscets like her, viscets with wings. Hatred, cruelty, wanting them to be killed, or worse. She instantly began to fear for her tiny, helpless child, and thus made a vital decision. On the third week after her birth, Hotaru carried her daughter to her half-brother, Baphomet. She pleaded with him to watch over her, and finally got him to agree to raise her. Hesitantly, she left her daughter, promising to see her again.

Life with Baphomet was not terrible, but compared to the life of other visclings it was no walk in the park. The best way to describe Baph was grumpy to no end, but that did not bother Azula in the slightest. She found every way she could to irritate him to no end. She found this in a solitary nickname: Bam. Bam was his weakness. Not only did he not have an "m" at the beginning of his name, but the way she said it was like she was referring to an explosion, as adorable as she may have been when she screamed it. However, even with all the grumpiness and teasing, the two loved each other like siblings, even though they showed it in funny ways.

Raising Azula was no easy thing. The child was practically ADHD, hardly able to focus or hold still for more than three seconds. Getting her to hold down and eat was a challenge, and training her to hunt or fly was practically impossible. However, Baphomet remained steadfast and persistent until she learned what she needed to. When she grew up, she stayed with her uncle. Of course, he did not take things quite as easy on her as he did in the past, yelling at her when she pushed him too far or even snapping at her if she should make a persistent mistake on purpose. However, after every snap and yell he would always leave her a small gift in the morning, a reminder that he still loved her without having to say the word.

Azula is incredibly patient and loyal to her uncle, aware in all things and bearing extremely quick reflexes. In flight, she is a master. Evasive enough to avoid an arrow and silent enough to startle and owl. On the ground, she is invisible. Able to hide in bushes on a moments whim and as silent as death as she slinks through the forest. She is a master hunter and warrior, trained by her uncle and taught to defend herself with unrelenting energy. To strangers, she is cautious and alert, sizing them up every second as she waits to see how they will react. To kind viscets, she will relax just slightly around them and maintain a civil conversation with them. To cruel viscets, it is claws out. Combat is inevitable and she will find a way to either win, or retreat safely. She does not treat cruel viscets with kindness and will not hesitate to act out in violence if it means protecting what is hers.

Her closest relationship is that with her uncle. Despite their flaws and arguments, he is the one who raised her and thus the one that she looks up to every second of the day. She loves to be around him, even when he is grouchy, and still loves to tease him as often as she can.
