Re: Redwood Valley Equestrian Centre -- Horse Competition Si

Hi all,

I have decided that I will indeed be going along with my original suggestion for a change to the breeding process; I just can't keep up with all the new things to be generated, I'm so sorry ^^' I apologize for any disturbances this shift may cause, and this should be the last breeding update for a long time!

Stallions will no longer have a breeding ability score or a breeding success rate.

Stallions will now have a breeding bonus by discipline so that for every local competition they win, they will earn +1 in that breeding bonus that can be applied to any of that discipline's stats for their offspring. For more information, please see my earlier post.

Mares will continue to have a breeding success rate, which may be rerolled if a mare has a breeding success rate lower than 40%.

Mares older than 25 will have a breeding success rate that is half of what it was originally.

Using straws instead of a live breeding will continue to offer a 10% more likely chance of that particular breeding working.

And that should be it! Please let me know if you have any objections or questions and I'll be happy to answer them ^^ I'll try to get those bonuses up today and take down stallion BSRs and BASs within the next couple weeks!

Hi, all! So sorry for the delay in posting!

Just wanted to let you guys know that I will be judging the shows that can run in an hour or so, so if you are wanting to enter your horses in anything that hasn't run yet, make sure you do so before I begin judging! Additionally, the BAS has officially been removed as a factor in breeding and the changes mentioned earlier will be implemented for any breedings here on out ^^ Thank you all for your understanding -- I hope to have most breedings up by tonight if everything goes planned, as well as our next Fjord! <3

So I have been following this Sim for a long while and I finally decided to join. Hopefully I can keep up with everything!

I'd like to create a barn!

Username: Chellerd
Barn name: Aurora Fields
Number of barns currently owned: 0
Type of barn: I think I will go for Discipline-Specific * Edit: I will go for the Reining Discipline
Barn owner: Heather Homes, 24, Female

* I will create a Barn page once I am accepted.

Yay, thank you so much!
Now to get everything setup and started and ofcourse get my very first horse! <3

*Edit: I actually have a question. I would really love for my barn to be Western Specific, is that a thing and will that give me bonus points? Or do I need to make it Western + Reining in order to receive a bonus during shows/competitions?

Also, I made my barn page: http://www.chickensmoothie.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=3283012

Fantastic! <3 To answer your question, you can technically have your barn organized as such, but you won't receive any other bonus points ^^
