This mare belongs to The Silver Brumby!
We cleaned her up and you have a pretty Isabella Palomino with birdcatcher spots:) Her scar is fainter now, but still visible.
Let me know if you want her genotype!

Horse's Name: Poseidon's Lover (Amazon or Amie for short (not pronounced Amy)
Gender: Mare
Age: everything leads us to believe she is five
Personality: Amazon is still rather flighty and nervous around new environments or people but once she settles into her surrounding landscape and people her 'true colours' show through. She loves affection with the exception of being touched around her scar, making her unridable. It's not known if she's broken in but she may be broken into harness if all goes well. She loves to escape from her stall and trash the feed room, before chewing up every piece of tack or wooden post she finds. She also loves water, hence her name.
How did you help her settle in to a new home?: well at the start it wasn't too easy. We just left her out in the paddock and came in to feed her everyday. She eventually got used to us being around her and then we started patting her every time she came close enough. Eventually she got used to us so then we managed to slip on a halter and let her go again to get used to it. Then we started taking her on short walks to make sure she was fine with being lead from the halter. Our walks started going past, into or ending in the barn. She got used to the barn and now she is relocated in there although she is let into the pasture everyday. She's the most spoilt horse there and gets a lot of attention and the best feed and bedding (and loves it all I must say). She is currently getting used to her new rug and she's found a few stable and paddocks mates who are now almost inseparable from each other.
