This mare has had a tough time. She was found wandering around by the breeding barn dirty as anything with a scar across her shoulders. We cleaned her up, and she is looking for a forever home.
This mare is going to be an adopt where you fill out the form and don't get to see her non-dirty self until after you have won her! That's right, she's not gray or mouse brown, she is covered in dirt!
This will be closed on the twenty fifth.

Name: Luna/Moon
Future show name: Once In A Blue Moon
Gender: Mare
Age: 5
Personality: (Optional): Wary, sweet, kind. Although she lives keeping to herself, she still enjoys spending time with her friends. Or even humans if they have peppermint candies.
How did you help her settle in to a new home?: It turns out, she loves peppermint candies! And although she wanted to stay in the paddock for quite awhile, I coaxed her into the barn using a few peppermint candies. Her bedding is the softest in the whole barn and she loved rolling around in it. Her favorite food (other than peppermint candies) are oats.

Name: Dusk
Gender: Mare
Age: 6
Personality: very playful, always running around and having fun.
How did you help her settle in to a new home?: well first I made sure she had a nice stall in my barn with fresh hay and food, along with a bucket of water. Then i made sure the window in her stall was open so she could see outside if she wanted when she was in their. Then I went out to my paddock and made sure everything was right out there. She seemed to like carrots the most when I have her a few choices to choose from, so, to help calm her I sat outside on the fence of the paddock with carrots, throwing them to her until she finnaly became comfortable enough to come to me.

Gender: Mare
Age: 3
Personality: Introverted, shy yet friendly, gentle, motherly
How did you help her settle in to a new home?:
Well first, you have to wash her off! We don't want a dirty girl up here. Second, make sure you feed her. She needs the best food! Third, get her thick bedding and straw to stay warm, abd don't forget the blanket I sewed her! And finally, make sure she's ok with all the other horses! After a long day, she gets an apole, carrot and sugar cube. All the horses here do!

Name: The Silver Brumby
Horse's Name: Poseidon's Lover (Amazon or Amie for short (not pronounced Amy)
Gender: Mare
Age: everything leads us to believe she is five
Personality: Amazon is still rather flighty and nervous around new environments or people but once she settles into her surrounding landscape and people her 'true colours' show through. She loves affection with the exception of being touched around her scar, making her unridable. It's not known if she's broken in but she may be broken into harness if all goes well. She loves to escape from her stall and trash the feed room, before chewing up every piece of tack or wooden post she finds. She also loves water, hence her name.
How did you help her settle in to a new home?: well at the start it wasn't too easy. We just left her out in the paddock and came in to feed her everyday. She eventually got used to us being around her and then we started patting her every time she came close enough. Eventually she got used to us so then we managed to slip on a halter and let her go again to get used to it. Then we started taking her on short walks to make sure she was fine with being lead from the halter. Our walks started going past, into or ending in the barn. She got used to the barn and now she is relocated in there although she is let into the pasture everyday. She's the most spoilt horse there and gets a lot of attention and the best feed and bedding (and loves it all I must say). She is currently getting used to her new rug and she's found a few stable and paddocks mates who are now almost inseparable from each other.

Name: draftygirl
Horse's Name:Luna
Gender: Mare
Age: 5-6 according to teeth
Personality: shy at first but over all pocket horse that is super energetic
How did you help her settle in to a new home?: we managed to get her into the barn after a few hours of trust work. She was then washed, fed ,and Settled into a quarantine stall. The next morning Luna had her vet and farrier visits. The vet examined her and found many scrapes and cuts along with mild lameness and an upper respiratory infection. The farrier found the cause of lameness to be improperly fitted shoes. The shoes were removed and replaced by orthopedic gel shoes. Right after the vet and farrier left, Luna was given her antibiotic and had medicated cream applied to all of her scrapes. It took her four months to fully recover. After Luna was fully recovered, she was evaluated by stable trainers to determine her level of education. It was determined that Luna was a fully educated mare. She began training for a low level show. Two months later on show day, Luna placed in the top five points wise; but was asked to leave due to getting over excited over jumps. The trainers then decided to try Luna out as a cross country horse instead of show jumping. Two weeks later, Luna had the time of her life and took home first place with a record time.
