Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.
Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!
Quilting and cobwebs!
I associate both with autumn. c:
Cobwebs and spiders are Halloween like, and quilting... seems very... autumnal. Why is that? Huh.
This is frankly one of the oddest designs I have done in awhile, hope it looks ok aha. cx
You may post contest suggestions if you want I have a vague idea of one but eeeehhh.
The design w/o the scarf thing.
EDITS:
Custom Ears (uncommon)
Hair Edit (common)
Extra Fluff (common)
Custom shine (standard)
CONTEST INFO:
Sorry for the short wait on this. c:
But thank you for the suggestions, I took them into account plus my original idea and here's the contest.
For this contest, we'll go with a sort of "memory quilt" theme, along with some of the "prompts" some of you suggested.
I'd like to know a fear they have, or overcame, a dream they achieved, or how it changed and they achieved something else through it, autumn tradition they developed overtime, where they got their neckerchief and finally, a memory quilt they made, including some of the elements aforementioned.
Further details are on the form's coding, read over them. c:
I'll announce the end date when a few forms have been started on, but, it'll likely be around a week's time.

- Code: Select all
REMOVE NOTES WHEN FORM IS COMPLETE / WHEN POSTING.
NOTE:
You may 'weave' in other elements into each section.
For example, introducing other characters (kalon or not) so they have relationships ect.
Word limits are loose, you won't be kicked out for going over them.
Try to avoid walls and walls of text though please.
FOR ART: Your allowed 1 piece of art total. Use wisely if you chose to.
EXCEPTION TO ABOVE: Drawing the quilt for the last section, you can do that without taking up art.
EXTRAS: None, the form is pretty long as is.
Art is optional. Writing is not.
Username:
Name:
Gender:
A Fear:
(A FEAR: Must be a fear they had or have, you can tel why they have it (or is it just completely irrational?) and how they overcame it if they did. Does not have to be anything extreme, could be anything from heights to darkness. You may write it in story format, but try to keep it short. Under 300 words preferably.)
A Dream:
(A DREAM: A dream they had, but the type you wish for, not a literal sleeping dream... did this kalon achieve it? Did they end up finding out something better for them? The outcome should be preferably positive for this prompt! Remember that getting what you want isn't always what is best. You may write it in story format. Under 5300 words preferably.)
A Tradition:
(A TRADITION: One they developed in autumn. You may write it in story format. Under 300 words preferably.)
The Neckerchief:
(THE NECKERCHIEF: Just tell me how they got it, why they wear it, and what it means to them (if anything at all). Keep under 200 words if you can.)
The Quilt:
(THE QUILT: Write a story about them making OR receiving a memory quilt! Include new snippets of their life if you like, described through patches on the quilt, as well as at least one of the memories from the above sections. You may draw the quilt too. Please design it yourself/have it commissioned drawn as it is a "memory quilt", no taking pictures offline/no actual quilts. You can just describe it in story if you like, though. No word limit, but try and keep it under 900 words, and over 200 words if you so can. )
I'll announce the end date when a few forms have been started on, but, it'll likely be around a week's time.
