Tracker Dog you want:
#18
Name you'll give it:
Amanda
Reason why you want it:
I think everything about her is perfect; the coloring, the type, the gender, the personality, basically everything about her. To add to all that, she even fits my personality and has my favorite color, red, markings on her. I think she would be perfect to be my very first tracker dog, and if I get her, I will most likely apply for two other trackers until I'm not allowed to own anymore and put all three of them into a story.
Will it be used in any kind of story?
Yes (See Above,) but definately not anytime soon. When the time comes, Nex will be notified and credit will be given.
Describe its personality:
Adaptable
Amanda is lucky to be able to adapt to any situation and/or location, terrain, and climate. She has been known to easily switch to another job when told on a short notice. For example, if she was simply tracking down a deer in a forest with few trees, she could easily shift to tracking down a murderous bear in the snowy mountains. She is capable of more extreme measures and has countless stories, but a deer in a forest to a killer bear in dense, snowy mountains was the most simple that could be explained in a short amount of words.
Patient
Due to her intense training and significance of all of her missions, she has grown to be very patient about anything and everything. Because she and her owner often hunt together, she has learned to wait and let prey come to her, which has taken almost an hour one time. Being patient includes both waiting and being tolerant. She tends not to be angered easily, and prefers to come to an understaning through words rather than fighting.
Gentle/Caring
Although Amanda can be a ruthless killer or hunter on the battlefield, she is actually very gentle towards every human that isn't a threat, and especially towards her owner. One of the worst things that could happen to her would be for her to have accidentally hurt her owner, so she tries her hardest not to have anything that can cause the slightest amount of injury close and be very soft when she must come in contact with her owner.
Protective
This goes along with being caring, but doesn't go with being gentle. As stated above, she can be extremely aggressive when needed. She is normally very softspoken and gentle, but there's nothing she wouldn't do for those she cares about and believes in. However, when she is in aggressive mode, she can regain her calmness when called off by her owner. Once she even almost died trying to protect her owner from a gunman.
Mysterious/Sneaky
During missions, she often stays behind and watches her target for a few days before attacking. She is usually found hiding behind a tree or bush, or simply staring out in the open, and then runs off when she's spotted. Because of this strategy, missions are successful most of the time and has only failed twice.
Write an introduction for your Tracker:
How it all began...
Amanda sat in her pen, looking out through the cage door as humans in strange uniforms carrying many different weapons passed by. She wondered, Why do my owners have all 86 of us trackers locked up in cages? Little did she know, she was actually at a pound for trackers and was going to be uthenized in two days if a new owner didn't adopt her. Over the 9 months she had been at the pound, she had seen many trackers leave their cages, being led by the humans, and never return. Not knowing any better, she just assumed they went on missions and are still working on the assignments. Instead, they were getting their turn to be "put to sleep."
Two days passed, and today was the day she was going to have her turn. Just barely, she could make out in the distance two of the humans in strange uniforms arguing about something and making gestures towards her. A female human without a uniform walked up to the other two and began talking, occasionally looking over at Amanda. Lifting her head, the human without a uniform came up to her cage and began petting her through the cage bars. The human turned her head back towards the humans in strange uniforms, who were now standing behind the human without a uniform, and said, "I'll take her." One of the humans in the strange uniforms stepped forward and opened the cage, then put a leash around Amanda's neck. Giving the leash to the female human, the human with the strange uniform said, "Cali, she's all yours. Just in time, too."
Two years, 6 months, 14 days later...
Amanda raced along the side of the freeway after the black van that had kidnapped her owner, Cali. Her paw pads were getting torn, she was beginning to get tired, and the car was slowly getting faster, but she refused to give up and continued pushing on. Dodging many things that could cause failure along the way, including other cars in the road, Amanda began to get closer to the black van. Suddenly, an exit came up to the right as the van jerked onto the exit. Instead of following the road that would lead into the city, the van continued driving over the road, into the dirt, and into the forest. Now in her element, Amanda picked up the pace and began running faster. However, she was stopped when her left ankle got caught in a metal hunter's trap. The pain was unbearable, but so the pain of losing her owner would be just as bad. Knowing what would happen if the van got away, she clamped her jaws around he trap and tried to pry it open, cutting her lips and gums as she struggled to free herself. Sadly, nothing was working. Just as she was about to give up, a gunshot sounded from in front of her and the pressure was released. Thinking she got shot, she looked around to see where. To her surprise, it wasn't her that got shot; instead, it was the trap that was now open. Looking to where the gunshot came from, she saw a hunter give her a quick nod then point east. Knowing the hunter was talking about where the van had gone, she ignored the pain of her ankle and began running after the van.
It didn't require too much thought since she was just following the tire tracks left in the dirt. Amanda continued on for what seemed like hours, but in about three and a half minutes, she came across a large house with the black van parked in front. Apparently, she had arrived just in time, as she saw four men carring her unconscious owner into the house. Bolting forward, she hurried towards her owner, prepared to give her life in exchange for Cali's. The kidnappers saw Amanda burst out of the bushes just in time, and hurried into the house. Before they could close the door, Amanda got her head through, shortly followed by her shoulders, and pushed her way into the house. As the two smallest kidnappers ran upstairs to get weapons, Amanda began attacking the larger two. They got a few good hits on her, and probably broke two or three ribs, but they eventually followed their comrades. Amanda heard a door slam, and she knew that the kidnappers weren't fetching weapons; they were hiding. She began to nudge Cali's face as her owner slowly began to wake up. Within a few minutes, more police officers burst through the door weilding guns. One of them came up to her and Cali, then began checking Cali for injuries. Seeing nothing that needed immediate attention, the officer stood up and gave Amanda a pat on the head before saying, "Officer Cali has no serious wounds. It's clear to go upstairs and make the arrests." Looking down at Amanda again, the officer gave her a pat on the head again and said, "You did good," then began leading Amanda and the now-conscious Cali toward a police car. On sight of the police car, Amanda instantly knew her and her owner were headed home.
