Meet the Mascot

Diodem is the Mascott of the Ferrikin on Chickensmoothie! Though being a Ferrikin, and therefor having a fluid gender, Diodem relates more with the female aspects of gender specifics. She dances to the song Still Here by Digital Daggers. Her dance is sharp, yet smooth, mixing jagged movements with fluid and beautiful twists and twirls. She fully utilizes her wings to dive, and land in a flurry on the ground during the end of the bridge of the song. She is the epitome of dangerous beauty, her personality draws you in, but her words can cut like that of a knife. She says things how she sees, though she does twist her words to fit her interests. She has no mate nor mating partner.

Rules
- First and foremost, credit where credit is due, please.
- Each Ferrikin has a theme song. So each one is unique, the owner of the Ferrikin gets to choose the song, but each ferrikin has a unique song, so no two Ferrikin can have the same theme song. Please notify me if you are a new owner though, for you can change the song once if you are.
- Once it is yours, you may do what you will with their descriptions, lore, make it a character, rp with it, whatever. Please do not change the design itself to be unrecognizable. You may add minor edits of course, like scars, missing limbs, broken something, ripped something, ect. But not major edits without my permission, like a whole new color design, or a new marking or such.
- You may post the picture on any site, upload it to any site, as long as you credit me, and if possible link back to my Chickensmoothie page.
- You may re-sell, trade, gift, whatever. Just please notify me of the change, so i can note it down.
- All MYO’s have to be passed before me for approval. I won’t be harsh, but I do want to just make sure everything is okay!

Information
Ferrikin are known as the Magical Little Dancers. They are light on their pointed feet, and are often seen prancing around moving intricately and gracefully. They are accompanied by music, those who encounter a Ferrikin are able to hear a song that that Ferrikin dances to. Each Ferrikin has a Theme Song, which they dance to. When a Ferrikin dances, they spread emotions. The emotions are linked to the song. Some Ferrikin spread anger, some happiness, some sadness, ect. There are two tiers of Ferrikin. Mortal and Godly. There are many types of Mortal Ferrikin, but only one type of Godly. Mortal are like humans, they are ‘normal’. While Godly are regarded as, well, Gods. They are much more powerful, and their songs have an extra power within them, able to transport the listener to a dream-like state while they listen, where their wishes come true. Dangerous, yet seductive. The state ends once the song ends. If you encounter a Godly Ferrikin, be listening for that song. For if you listen, and really appreciate it, they might leave a little gift for you!

Basic Anatomy

They are a deer like species, with a mask over their head which covers skin. Ferrikin have no eyes, or nose, just a mouth. No ears either. The only sense they have is taste, and touch. They rely on vibrations and tasting the air. They have two horns, a slender neck, scaled legs with pointed feet, and the tail always differs between types. They are small, half the size of an average just born kitten. Three can fit in the palm of your hand, they are that small. Though small, they are rather fast. Able to move at surprising speed, faster than the speed of light. The reason? Their bones are infused with magic. The magic usually just enhances their speed, but sometimes it enhances their appearance as well.

Tiers
There are two tiers. Mortal and Godly. Mortal are the regular Ferrikin, while Godly are the god-like ones, more powerful and enchanting.
Mortal - There are many types, though only one has been discovered so far.
Godly - There are two types. Undiscovered as of yet.

Types
Mortal

Butterfly - The first discovered Ferrikin. They are able to fly, and they are the most commonly found type of Mortal Ferrikin. Their songs are mostly light and happy, able to bring a lightness to the soul when listening.
Godly
Undiscovered

Traits
Traits are more commonly known as edits to the specific base. So, like hair, accessory, extra body parts, where there is none of that on the base. Example can be spikes on a Butterfly base.

Breeding
Ferrikin breed, but in a unique way. When they meet another Ferrikin they like, they start dancing and their songs go on full. During the peak of the dance,some of the magic in their bones leaves, and meats in the air to create a ball of magic. As the song calms down, after the peak, the magic dies down, and a newborn Ferrikin is revealed.

Diet
They are actually omnivores, they have jagged looking teeth in the front of their mouth, and short strong molars in the back. A good mouth to bite and chew at the same time. They usually hunt like in wolf packs, but they are adapt at hunting alone as well. Their jaw strength is ridiculous for their size. They can bring down a squirrel quite easy in groups of one or two, and when they gunt onf groups they hunt for rabbits. They store what they cannot eat for later.

You can obtain a Ferrikin by several ways.
- You can adopt one in exchange for Ferricoins (the Ferrikin currency used).
- You can draw/write/offer to adopt.
- You can purchase a Custom Slot with Ferricoins, or purchase a Make Your Own with Ferricoins as well.
- You can trade for/buy a Ferrikin from another user.
- You can win a Raffle.

ANY time you recieve a Ferrikin from somebody else besides me, please let me know! So I can track the owners of each Ferrikin and keep a database!

Currency - Ferricoins
Ferricoins are coins that are made from the horns of adolescent Ferrikins, that fall off so they can grow their adult horns, so they are bone. No harming of anyone is done in the process of attaining the coins, just the gathering of the horns left behind.
To gain them, you can trade in pets (only) for the coins, gain them when foraging, turn in meat for coins in return, or if your have an encounter with Diodem or a Godly Ferrikin you might be able to get some coins as well!

Pets are of 2011-2016 years, so add 3 FC for every year after 2010.

Hunting
Once the Hunting Grounds thread is up, anyone with a Ferrikin can hunt ONCE A DAY, for meat. The process is to write an at least 150 words roleplay like entry on the thread, depicting your Ferrikin hunting something. In the post, you are not depicting it getting something, but in the process of stalking something. You do not know what, nor do you catch it yet. I will reply with the ferrikin catching the prey, or finding nothing. It is a chance thing, and a fun thing!
What you can find can be turned in on this thread, for Ferricoins! More will be posted once the thread is up.

Gathering
Once the Gathering Grounds thread is up, anyone with a Ferrikin can gather ONCE A DAY, for some cool Gathering specific items and Ferricoins! The process is similar to the Hunting process, write at least 150 words in a roleplay like entry of your Ferrikin looking for something around the grounds. I will reply with what the Ferrikin finds.
What you can find will be posted on the thread, once it is up!

Encounters
There are Godly Ferrikin around, and if you post in this thread, a limit of one post each 12 hours, you may encounter one. With in encounter, there is more of a chance for a Godly Ferrikin to drop in the Adopts Cave. As well, if you encounter it you may find it leaves you with an encounter specific item, and/or Ferricoins!
More of what you can find will be posted once the thread is up!

Well, this is the grand opening of the Ferrikin, a species by myself, Dysfunctional! Call me Dys please!
As a fun little event, you can get a song based custom with 3 simple edits and 1 medium edit for FREE!
All you have to do is find a song, and then post a 200 word little entry of the Ferrikin in an 'every day life'! Whoever is the winner will get a free custom as stated above, with the stated edits, based on that song and the entry!
