Well, it all started that afternoon when the little one disappeared from the pasture, and his friends and owner could not find him...
"Jenn, where is Trickster?!" called Jessica, a pretty redhead with soft brown eyes whom had always loved the little honey colored buckskin with the innocent big eyes which reminded her of a doe's. "Did you check the pasture?" her cousin called back, and she said "I did! He isn't there!" Meanwhile, the little colt himself was wandering down the lane just beyond the woods where the girls would ride the older horses, and was having a grand old time on his little adventure. He heard the squeals of his next-door friends, and came over to say hi, then wandered off again, to the dairy farm down the way from them. He played with a dog friend there, then turned and came back home, where Jessica scolded him then hugged him. That evening, she haltered him and put on his ice cream costume, and the girls took him and his filly friend Red Feather out trick or treating, getting candy themselves and the foals getting apples, sugar cubes, oats, and carrots. They returned home, and had a little party in the barn, then went to bed.
