Well, what I'm stuck with is this;

My first view of the world was a boy, though I’d forgotten the word at the time. He had dark hair, and very shiny, shiny enough to reflect the lights from the surrounding torches. After his hair, what caught my attention was his eyes — deep, deep scarlet. Then his skin; tanned from hours of walking around in the sunlight. I think he was holding what remained of my egg in his hands, though the scene beyond his face is a little fuzzy. I remember a name, Sotiris, being spoken inside my head, and wondering if the boy was the owner of that name. I remember looking past him, thinking that maybe the huge beast was this Sotiris, and being immensely disappointed when we went back and Sotiris was just some finicky russet bird. With the way it sounded, like an iris’ beauty concealed by soot, waiting for someone to brush it off and whisper its power back into it, I imagined someone much less . . . picky. Of course, Sooty, as I’ve started calling him, was just as impressed with me.

I can't figure out what I wanna say next Confusion!! I want to somehow get to Pin remembering bits of her life before she was reborn as a dragon.

i guess you could write a more in-depth description of sooty, and
maybe something about him (like his feather color, eyes and so
forth) that could trigger soft, vague memories of her previous life?

like for example maybe the color of his feathers are the same
as the dirt of her farm/mountains above her home/whatever
else............

Went over the daily word count goal by about 300 words ^^ My novel is at a total of 5331 now...or something close to that.

I'm aiming to reach 10,000 in the next hour, which shouldnt be to hard, seeing as I've got 9,550. XD I am really impressed at how much I've written tbh! I should keep it up after Nano.

My problem is I don't have this thing that gives me a feeling like I have to write, like it's a responsibility (that's not quite it, but I wasn't sure how else to phrase it), like my writers' workshop. NaNo doesn't have that same feel to it, so I don't get this feeling that . . . I'm writing for "real," for lack of a better way to put it. Also, I keep getting distracted. Curse you, CS!!!

I'm at like 2100 right now. I'm very far behind, but I'm still trying. I'm awaiting the "you won't finish, just give up" speech that I got last year from my friend. That was a fun day. She will do it again. She's always competing with me and it's absolutely annoying.

There's still a while to go, you can still catch up. And even if you don't reach 50k words, you'll still have written stuff, which is always a good thing!
