A brown and white dragon with bright green eyes watched from behind Tavurth and his guards warily. He blinked at the catlike Fleshy in confusion, but seemed to understand her words. He slowly made his way forward, sniffing at the seemingly-hostile group before him. They didn't seem hostile now, of course, but you could never be certain...
He sat down on his haunches, looking down at the Fleshies with a cocked head and a curious gleam in his eyes. He'd never seen one of these things up close before...
When the boy who'd attacked Tavurth called him a lizard, the brown and white dragon - Ith, as everyone else knew him - glared down at him. He puffed out his chest and gave a rumbling growl, as if to try and prove that he was better than a stupid lizard.
Or worse, depending on how you viewed the situation.

"Ex-cuse me?" Cael turned to the female mutant who was holding his gun loftily. "Give that back, unless you want to get eaten by those monsters." He turned and pointed at the aggressive stance of the brown and white dragon. "I'm not crazy enough to just go at it with my knife, but you?" He reached into a side pocket on his backpack and pulled out a machete-like knife about as long as his face. "Wouldn't even worry about you." He sheathed the sword in his pocket, which he'd sewn a soft scabbard into a few weeks ago, and like a switch was flipped, he was all smiles and innocence. The boy grinned at the odd, but seemingly not completely hostile mutant, in front of him and stuck out his hand. "Sorry ma'am, but I don't think I caught your name. I'm Cael. Do ya think..." He ruffled his hair and looked up through his eyelids abashedly. "Do ya think I could have my gun back? I mean I'm pretty good with a knife, but..." He scuffed his shoe on the floor and glanced down, then up, just for a heartbeat. "I'm better when I've got something to shoot." He gazed at her with bright brown eyes hopefully.

The woman almost sneered. "You should know better than to bring a knife to a gunfight. You think your little pocket knife scares me? I've led armies through minefields." She paused for a moment."You want the gun?" Suddenly and without warning she dropped the gun on the floor and kicked it, sending it skidding between the legs of one of the beasts. "Go fetch."

Ith glanced over at the feline Fleshy curiously. Did he understand her? Of course he could. Anyone could. Fleshy language was so easy to understand - albeit strange at times, it was rather easy to pick up on. The real challenge was learning Draconian. So, as to answer her question, Ith dipped his head in a nod towards her.
Meanwhile, a pink and red curly-furred dragon with golden eyes gave a sudden squeak when the fire-pellet stick skidded underneath her. She jumped a bit, but immediately calmed down enough to investigate the strange Fleshy weaponry. Avrith, as this one was known, reached down with her forepaws and grasped the peculiar machinery, lifting it up with ease and sniffing at it. She knew it was dangerous, but she was curious to see how this thing worked. Her long, snake-like tongue flicked out and across the barrel of the fire-pellet stick, but she quickly retracted it as her face twisted with disgust. Okay, ew, ew, ew, that tasted rancid. Remind her never to do that again.

Vivian, Indigo, Sorren

As one kid shot right at the lead dragon's butt, Indigo stated in awe at his stupidity. "What the hell, you dill!" He shook his head then frowned at his own use of language. This room was ruining his cheerful mood.

Sorren eyed Indigo as he cursed at the kid, but in all honesty, the dude deserved it. Why would you shoot at some thing's butt without warning. They had all been fine before he did that. Now drawing his dagger again, he stanced himself in a defensive position, still a bit new to this whole fighting thing.

Vivian rolled her eyes. Some people could be so dumb. That blue lady seemed to be the only sane one in here. Glancing at the dragons, they seemed to have calmed down a little as the cat-person spoke. How many mutants were there in here? It was like a mythological zoo.

The fighting and gunshots seemed to catch the attention of... something. A loud squeal filled the room, akin to a microphone screech. As it died, a voice seemed to fill all the rooms, coming from small hidden speakers under the ugly wallpaper.
"Enough!" The voice bellowed and echoed, repeating the same word over and over again. When the echoes had died, it spoke again, this time with no echoes. "You have all been called her for a reason. I do not want anyone to die... yet. If you work together, if you do as I say, you may yet have a chance of survival, a chance to go home - if that is what you wish. You will go through many challenges, many tasks. Some of you may die, but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make. Your first task - escape. I think that should be easy enough to do without casualties, don't you?"
With a loud click, the room was plunged into silence again.

Vivian, Indigo, Sorren

All three of them froze. "What in the..." Indigo muttered. He seemed to be in a sort of daze that neither Sorren nor Vivian understood. Some dude speaking over a microphone was strange, but it wasn't that freaky.

"Dude, you okay?" Sorren asked.

"Yeah, I just..." He suddenly became calm again. "I don't know what that was all about. Sorry." He went silent and Sorren tilted his head.

"You heard the guy!" Vivian shouted as loud as she could to reach as many people as possible. "Shut up and look for a way out! That means you, too," she added, pointing at the dragons. She didn't know what had come over her. Maybe she was picking up some of Sierra's lovely "etiquette."

Oh. Well. That was one way to get everyone to calm down. He glanced around, jumping at the voice of a girl yelling for everyone - including the dragons - to silence themselves and make an escape. he glanced up at the cieling. Could he Shift and fly out?

He blinked. Then he realized the person speaking wanted an answer, and he shook his head, clearing his throat a little. "Uhm, I'm - My name is Sydney."
