Tracker Dog you want:

Number 18

Name you'll give it:

Glacier's Flame

Reason why you want it:

Tracker dogs are amazing creatures. I love their design, but in this case the design is amazing. The gray complements the white, and the red completes it with a flare. The red on the shoulder looks like a glacier, and reminds me of a glacier, and she's a snow Tracker! I hope I get this beautiful creature.

Will it be used in any kind of story?

Yes. I always write about my darling characters, and this one is twice as amazing as most of my characters. I plan to write lots of short stories about her, and Roleplay too.

Describe its personality:

Glacier's Fire has a sweet, kind personality. She is very trusting, and loves mostly everyone. At work, she is calm and efficient, and charms her victims to help them escape blizzards and not freak out.

She loves games, and will play for hours. She maintains a very puppy like personality as well, and truly is crushed by a betrayal. Guard her trust in you, and you will never meet a more loyal friend.

Her weakness and greatest downfall IS her trust. She never suspects anyone, and most villains take advantage of that, tricking her into hurting people.

She likes vanilla ice-cream, snow-tag, and Snow itself. She dislikes being warm or hot, any warm food, or plain, boring work.

Write an introduction for your Tracker:

I had lived my life in the warmness of Snow. I have never shivered in my life, and have never left it. I doubted I ever would. The one regret... I wouldn't think about.

I licked my snout in amusement as the passing people-who-were-bundled-up-in-ridiculous-looking-suits waddled by, shaking from the cold. I didn't understand why they didn't have fur, but none of them noticed me. I was hidden completely in the snow, after all.

I leaped out as some humans squealed and ran to avoid the onslaught of my bundle. I lifted my gray, white and red head proudly, and regarded the small village I had been born into.

Because of the snow, and being hidden from most people high in the mountains, many people slipped and fell. At birth hidden by a wild Tracker in a cave near here, I fit the conditions perfectly and roamed these parts. Alone, even though I would rather not be.

I looked up at the falling snow, dancing its frantic game, then regarded the ice-lake. I thought Something weird appeared in the pattern of the snow, and it looked like the snow was falling onto the outline of something. Snather! I raced onto the ice, skidding across the surface and reached the spot where I had thought I had felt him. No one was there.

Ears drooping, I walked back to the entrance of the village. Snather was my one regret. I hadn't saved my brother in time from the avalanche; his weak cries still haunted my dreams, so different from when we had played together when we were little.

But now... now he was gone.

Only a month ago an avalanche started. I remembered it all so well...

"Come on, Snather, lets go help these people!" I felt his presence, felt him look away. "They aren't our responsibility, Glacey. We should just leave..." I opened my mouth to retort, but just stood, facing him, feeling the avalanche coming towards the village. I finally found my voice. "Fine, coward, I can go dig the ditch myself." He growled then, and swung around to the village, and started to wordlessly dig. I came and helped him.

The mountain was tall; it took 2 hours too dig the ditch big enough, and when I finished the crude job, I felt the avalanche. It was nearly upon us. I leaped out, and turned too see Snather still digging. "Snather!" I yelped as the avalanche thundered toward us. He paused, then sniffed the air. He turned in surprise, but too late. The avalanche crashed into the hole, filling it up.

I had made a mistake. I chose this village of humans over my only friend and sibling. I had dug for hours later, but never found him. And my life had had to go on.

I was about to return to my moping, but then the pounding of heavy-human shoes came towards me. "Spirit dog of the ice;" panted the human, a young male. "Please help us! Someone attacked us, and two people are missing!"

Running, running towards the screams. I wondered what had happened, and then arrived. A young girl stood shaking 5 feet away, and a woman was on her back, scrabbling away from a dark shadow.

The shadow was out of my sensing range! I growled angrily, and raced towards it. It saw me, and whistled. Why whistled? I wondered, but then I was hit on my back, and tumbled into a snowdrift.

There were two of them! Finally I "saw" them. One was a tall dark man, holding a little machine. But the other one caught my attention.

Snather? It couldn't be!

Snather smiled coldly. "Sweet dreams, little sister." He rushed at me, and I felt his teeth dig into the base of my spine. I howled as my sensor swam red, and felt myself... start... to... slip... away.... why... was... I... thinking... so.... slow? I swung my head around in confusion and then yelped as I blacked out.

Where was I? My sniffed the air, and realized I was in a little frozen cage. A sense of no gravity was in my body, and the entire room I was in hummed and swayed. A small window was just outside my cage... too bad I couldn't see. My breath was so cold it froze in mid-air, falling to the ground in icicles. I was in an airplane.

Paws crunching and slipping on the cold metal, Snather swaggered up to my cage. "Hey Glacey, you are awake. I was hoping you were." I dove at him, confusion and bars stopping me from barreling into him. "W...what?" I asked shakily, and he smiled.

"After you left me in the avalanche, I was found by a human bent on capturing exotic pets to sell. At first, thats what he planned to do. But we found we were perfect partners, so I joined him. And now he lets me sniff out exotic pets.

"You are our first."

I just stood there, panting. "You..you led him too me?" My voice squeaked at the end. Snather shrugged. "Don't worry. I saved you from the cold. Welcome to the black market." And he strolled back out, leaving my howling behind him.

What had happened to my brother? I thought miserably as I fell into a restless sleep. I dreamed I was back at the avalanche. "Snather!" I cried again, but this time he let to me, bounding gracefully up. He had made it! But he smiled, and shoved me into the path instead.

I woke up with a start, and realized it was boiling hot out. I checked around, and realized sellers were yelling and haggling around me. I was in a cage alone, and people stared. "Get your ultra-rare creature here!" Sneered a man. I turned, and recognized the man who had been with Snather.

No one had enough money to buy me that day. As I was thrown into the cargo shed, I snarled and sat up. As the night passed, I was aware of something approaching. It was Snather.

He was carrying a couple keys, and opened my cage as I watched in amazement. As he entered, he whispered quickly. "There isn't much time." He muttered.

"You got that right," I hissed, and leapt at him. I pinned him down, and snarled into his face. "Tell me why I should let you live. You have token everything away from me!" I tightened my grip, and he whimpered.

"I came... to...to get you out."

I sat up in surprise. I released him, and barked at him. "Take me out of here."

Tracker Dog you want:
Tracker Dog #18

Image
Name you'll give it:
Subject 46 / Machigai [Japanese, "Mistake". Reference to her nonviolence]
Reason why you want it:
I've been stalking this thread for several months, waiting for an idea to form for one of these guys. I initially thought I'd click with a male, as I usually do, but this female... she's perfect. In my plotline, experiments are being made to create the perfect weapon- something I believe suits this species extremely well-, and each of the experiments are, in some way, flawed. Machigai's nonviolence fits the bill with absolute precision that I... I can't fathom just how deeply this rocks my storyline.

Will it be used in any kind of story?
Yes; as stated, this storyline involves the creation of creatures meant to track and kill targets- the enemy camps- using the idea of a "clean kill". That is to say, the "Subject" must kill the target without leaving a trace of either death, or, at the very least, evidence that could be traced back. Machigai, because of her species, would be suitable for the program, but she will, naturally, be unable to "kill" the virtual targets she is trained with. She will be the lab "pet" until the escape of the most dangerous Subject, after which she will be taken in by one of the last two remaining researchers that survived the destruction of the laboratory.

Describe its personality:
Nonviolent. Machigai cannot bear to take the life of another, especially if she's forced into doing so. She hates hearing the screams of those in their death throes, and she especially can't take the silence after their heart stops beating.
Passive. Because of how she started life, she's a very passive Tracker. After being beaten and tormented in attempts to pull out a killing side of her, she fears pain above all else.
Sensitive. Loud noises- and silence- startle Machigai. She's highly aware of her surroundings, and flinches at any touch that has even the slightest hint of malevolent intent. She's prone to heartbreak, though she has been forcefully trained to bury her emotions within her.
Naive. Machigai does not know quite where her torment comes from. She therefore trusts her handlers to take care of her, believing that, since they have no unkind intentions toward her, that she will be safe. She has the mentality of a puppy, most of the time when she's around the research lab.
Lost. Machigai is a blind child thrown into a guerrilla war between nature and modernization. Her only boons are her senses, which, more often than not, are used maliciously to track targets before a hunting Subject is released to finish the job.

Write an introduction for your Tracker:
I'm a failed experiment... I couldn't kill the squirrel that they tested me with. The poor thing's heart... it was beating so fast, knowing it only had a few more to go... I couldn't take it when they did it for me. The thumping... then a crack and a cry... before silence. Absolute... silence.

I was taken by a machine. So many sounds... I was blinded by it all. I couldn't tell where the next shock or blade was going to come from, just that it was going to bite me... over and over and over again. I was branded on the inside of my ear, and I can still remember the acrid scent of my own burning fur and flesh.... I broke down more than once in that hell, my mind fracturing and repairing itself again and again. The pain... I couldn't take it anymore. My Masters took me out of there, though... such kind beings, to save me!

They nursed me to health and brought me to where they worked, allowing me to roam free among them. I was harmless, they said. I would never hurt them- and how true that was. I was as loyal to them as my bloodline demanded- I sometimes even thought that I'd die for them... but how could I, when I could not bear to fight?

Then... the Night of Screams. One of the Subjects- just as I had once been- had escaped, and devastated my home. It had freed most of the other Subjects, letting them loose on the Outside... I had never known it had existed until then. I waited for my Masters' voices... but none ever came. It was silent, save for a distant roar. They were all dead....

Then, heat. The roaring became louder, coupled by the smell of heat and burning equipment. I didn't know what it was called- I still cannot remember- but I ran, fear of pain overtaking my senses and ability to think. I remember cold... ice packed itself between my toes, searing my skin in a way that I knew nothing about. Burning from cold rather than heat? No... it was only when I found a dry, echoing area that I stopped to rest, my heat helping to raise the temperature of the small, shallow cave.

I slept. My dreams were of cold, metal things that night. Claws, silently grasping me, cutting into my skin and making me howl and cry for someone- anyone- to find me, to love me again. I wished for the affection that I was given by my Masters. I wished for their hands- no matter how rough- to card through my fur again. They knew where I was most sensitive... and just how to treat those areas. Not once were my ears injured... and they kept my nose out of places where it didn't belong. But they weren't there to save me... I felt so terribly alone....

I woke to find one of my female Masters, standing over me, talking. I didn't question how or why, at the time, just wagged my tail and greeted her, excited that she yet lived. She took care of me, but, in return, I would track for her.

It wasn't the same. I never knew how wrong it really was... not until the end.

Machigai's somewhat infantile mind didn't comprehend exactly what she was being forced to do until it was too late. It was always the same- she was told to find this scent, or that one, perhaps. She never heard the feral killing "machine" of a beast her remaining Master had created and chained- no, she was pulled away from the trail just before it ended, and given a dose of sick praise while the monster slayed the target- heedless of the "Clean Kill" goal. Rebels- those that sought to keep back the modernization and ruination of the land- were destroyed this way. These beasts, so thoughtlessly slaughtered, were convicted of trying to defend their homeland... land that, in the eyes of the anthromorphic invaders, belonged under the feet of concrete foundations... roads... and the hideous metal-faced buildings they called a "city".

Machigai had no knowledge of this. She was to track what her Master wanted her to- and she did it well, until one of the targets, a trained Subject that had turned afoul of The Project's goals, defeated the murderous beast, and went after the Master herself before being shot down. Once she knew about the blood on her Master's hands, she ran again, this time taking shelter in the Hall of the Ancients- where several aged gryphons lived, deciding the next move in the six-way chess game they had set up, each representing a force in the struggle that Machigai had escaped from.

One in particular, a large, gruff gryphon with sharper wit than his own beak, took her in. Michelangelo, he was called. Despite his rougher nature, he was patient and gentle... perfect for Machigai. She became his second shadow, and he, in turn, became her new Master- one she can forever trust with her life.

I am the pet of the great Michelangelo. I am his Tracker- his ears and nose, entrusted with the seeking duties as he and his brothers weave and twist the fates of the players in the game that will never end. I am a symbol of hope... of damnation... of Fate itself. I am Machigai.

Tracker Dog you Want: # 17
Name You'll Give It:Batman or Batty, because of it's colors and personality.
Reoson Why you Want it?I just love the colors and design,it reminds me of Batman.I like how the black makes him look bolder and stronger.I have wanted a Tracker for many weeks, and I just adore this one.I think this Tracker it handsome, and very strong-looking.There are MANY reosons I want a Tracker, but the main reoson is,that they are truly amazing creatures and were made by a genuise creator.I would be honored to have Batty as my Tracker companion. If I get Batman,i would make him tones of artwork and give him a ref.
Will it be in Any Kind of Story?Yes,including this one.Batman will be in tons of stories about his Tracker job,and most will have me in them along with my Maned Fox(something I adopted from myself).

Discribe it's Personality:

Determined
Althoug Batty can be childish and silly at times,he is never reluctant to finish a job.He will take from days to months to get a job done and done right. The word 'quit' is not in his vocabulary.

Chidlish
When he's not chasing robbers,Batman is considered a 'baby' or a 'big softy'.Dispite his strong, tough demenore,Batman is a young Tracker at heart. He loves belly rubs and to sit and watch a movie with his owner.

Focused
Batman was named for his colors, personality, and his ability to be seriuos when needed. His mind will never wonder from his goal. This is the reoson Batman is trusted to take on the hardest urban jobs in the town, and often enjoys some, but sometimes others can be quite dificult for him.

Bacon
A unique fact about Batman is that he loves bacon. To Batty Bacon isn't just some cricpy slice of pork, but a reward or something he gets when he is about to get a hard mission or once he has completed one.Although he doesn't get it very often,it is always a pleasure for him to have.

Heights
Although Batman lives in the city,he has a strange fasination with heights. This is the reoson Hyena has special built ledges for Batty to jump onto and take him up stairs.Even as a young tracker in the lab,Nex never found out why this regular Tracker had an obsession with heights. This causes Batman to sometimes find his way onto a building if needed to catch a criminal
.

Write an Introduction for your Tracker

The smell of bacon sunk into my nose.I sat up,today was the day I took on a new mission.I sniffed the air.It smelled of bacon and human food.I stood up and trotted into the kitchen. It was warm and had a cozy vibe. The sound of bacon crackling in a cast iron skillet, made my ears twitch.I turned my head and smelled the air.The bacon was in my food bowl along with my regular food.Once I got to my bowl,I scooped up the bacon with my tounge as it slid down into my mouth.I smacked on the crisp, chewy slice of meat, and soon headed down for my second piece.

Hyena's delicate fingers touched my neck.
"Yup,Batty.Today's gonna be a good day, you'll complete that mission easily."encouraged the young woman.I stopped chewing and swirled my tounge around to lick my lips. She scrached the top of my head, and stood up to continue cooking.I swollowed and popped the third slice of bacon into my mouth. As I licked up the last morsle of food I stepped back and streched out my arms and paws.My claws scraped aginst the tiled floor. In a few more hours I would be patroling the streets for a murderer.I would leave a dog and come back as a hero.I lapped up some water, and after drinking my fill I headed over to the living room. The soft carpet felt good underneath my paw-pads.I stood infront of the window and turned my ears to hear the 'sounds of morning'.I heard other trackers and their owners. It was rare to see regular Trackers like me in the city.Few were for compainonship and most were for work and missions, were I stood in these groups i don't know.Maybe both?A Tracker once told me that you couldn't be both.

From behind me I heard Hyena go up stairs.I continued to sit in front of the window for a few minutes.I stood up and raced up the steps.Hyena was in her room,I made a image of her putting on her green jacet and pulling her hair back into a poy-tail.Once she was ready I ran down stairs,as she followed. The door-knob turned and the old door creeked open.I ran out and turned to wait for Hyena.

We soon came outside to the front of the apartment and headed down the block.we passed deli, markets, and the thousands of corner stores in Maryland. We passed a few other Trackers and even some stray ones too.It was fall, this means that the air will be thinner and colder.Missions are always more difficult in the fall. You had the risk of losing the criminal or getting frostbite from the cold air.

My paws were cold on the hard concrete.I smelled the air,I pictured a tall pearl white building.I have been here before, but only for my first murder case. This would be my second murder case.I was shaking from excitement, but tried to be professional. As we entered the building I held my head up and walked with long graceful steps. We passed a large pillar and entered a large plain white room. There was a brown round table in the middle of the room, with four chairs, one for Hyena, and three for the policemen.I was set on a small stool as the policemen and Hyena sat at the table.I stood as broad and frozen as a statue. The only movement came from my ears as they twitched from the sound of people working outside.A man by the name of,Mr.Lune came up and placed a small tracker on my left ear.

Hyena scratched under my jaw and gave me a pat on the back. She leaned in closed and pursed her lips together tight,
"Go to work Batty"I tried to keep my tounge from licking her face,so I twirled my tounge in circles.I was guided off of the stool and out the door.We then went out to the back of the building.I stood on the dew-grass as Hyena held a tuff of skin behind my head. She nealed down next to me and leaned forward,
"Go"The policeman held a shirt to my nose.It smelled of cigars and wine,I smelled beer and seat.Yup,the smell of a criminal,I thaught as I sniffed the cloth.

Hyena gave me a pat on the back, and let go of my neck.As the yelled go i ran out of the small steel fencing surrounding the back of the building as I ran around the side of the building.I sniffed the air,the faint smell of the cloth filed my nose.I ran down the street, head close to the ground.I dashed past a market and stopped at the corner. The air here smelled of gas,and oil.I sniffed harder,I then smelled the cloth and continued my search.

After looking for hours I soon came to the beastly part of the town. The air now smelled of rain and the air was humid and moist.I walked up to a church and smelled. No criminal here.I searched a few other places before going to find some food.i managed to get a few pieces of ham from the leftovers at the market, but not enough to fill my appitiete.I had been searching for hours,so I decided to rest for the night.I trotted over to an abandoned house and rested my body in a small opening on a cushion.Small droplets of rain began to fall onto the roof and drip down onto my nose.It made me sneeze,so I turned my body to avoid loosing the smell.I soon fell asleep.

I was awoken by a musty odor that filled my nose.My tounge curled and my ears twitched.I looked up,it was a rat scanning the ground for etable garbage to consume. My head rose as I curled my tounge into my mouth to make it moist. My lips drew back and I yawned welcoming the sights of morning.I sttod up and turned my head to check my surrounding area. The air now smelled of 'after rain'.I sniffed again, and the faint smell of cloth came back to me.I then headed around the corner. The sent took me up to palaski street.I often went here with Hyena when I was younger to saerch for criminals as practice for the real thing. The concrete was wet and my paws were cold, but I keep on track. The smel soon led me to a fence.I managed to slide my body under a hole at the bottom of it.The smell had gotten stronger here.I raised my head and smelled the air,the cloth scent filled my nose.I began to run.The scent took me further into the alley.I was careful not to step on shards of glass or broken debris, and was sure to take long swift steps. The smell had grown strongest once I was at the end of the alley,by an abandoned house.I sat behind an old couch and stuck my head out to smell. The criminal was inside, now walking down the alley. This is my chance,I must go for it.I sprung out and launched myself towards his leg.A loud screach rose over the city like a fog.As his foot swung outward I was pushed back.I got to my feet and bared my teeth.

He cursed and yelled, but gotten back up to his feet.I took a step forward, but he stood in his place. My tounge flicked up and down and my ears were turning 360,but I continued my pose like a brick statue. He came close and stomped as if to scare me,but I held my possition.Using my back legs to lean back and using my front legs I launched onto his chest. This ended up in him grabbing my legs and swinging me onto the ground.I jumped up and ran towards him.BOOM!a shocking jolt went through my head and down my back.He kicked me in the head.I flew backwards and slid across the hard ground......I was unconsious.

My 'vision' was blury as I wobbled to my feet.I smelled the air.....nothing.What?I can't smell!I placed my paw over my nose and rubbed it,nothing.I had lost the sent.I looked up and 'imaged my surroundings'.It was night.I had lost my case and failed my mission.....I could never go back now

I sat down to 'ubsorb' the mis-hap.I looked down at the hard concrete ground.A droplet of water fell on my nose and it soon began to rain.I sat in the same place for about another hour.I felt a lump in my stumoch and a ache in my heart.I had failed Hyena....I failed the police.....most of all I failed to keep the people on the streets safe.I could never be a Tracker now.I slumped, head low to the ground as rain poured down onto my fur.I dropped onto the ground and let the sypthany of drips from the rain drift me to sleep.

I looked at the ground, still laying in a wet puddle and placed my paw over my head. There would be no use sitting here moaping,I would have to go out and find some place dry.I didn't feel like a Tracker.I didn't feel like myself.I felt like i had let down so many people, ones who depended on me to keep them safe. But the game of cat and mouse was over now,I would have to return home as a criminal myself for not protecting the streets of Maryland.

It was dusk by the time I had found a church to rest my sore body.I smelled the air.Once again not even a faint smell of the criminal. This just reminded me how much I failed at my job.At dawn I went to search for food.I managed to get a few morsles of chicken from the deli, but it was just enough to hold me till night.I smacked down on the last cold peice of puoltry when a scent flew into my nose.It smelled on wine, beer, and cigars.A jolt went through my mind,It was the criminal!I jumped to my feet and smelled the air,it was coming from downtown.I dashed towards the scent as fast as wind.I nearly fell as I ran around the corner and past a school. The scent flew around my nose and teased me like the smell of a fresh pie.It lead me to palaski street at an abandoned house.

I smelled the air.The smell drew closer to me as it spun around my nose like a butterfly.

Tracker Dog you want:
#18
Name you'll give it:
Valen (pronounced v-al-in)
Reason why you want it:
For some reason I really love her design. The basic colors mix well perfectly and remind me of books that are made for newborns since they can only see black, white and red for the first few months.
I really love stripes especialy ones that remind me of a thylacine(they are one of my favorite animals next to wolves). Plus I really like sutle colors that look both natural and look interesting to the eye. I love her personality that really reminds me of myself which made writing a story for her very easy to me. I feel so drawn to her that I think I might write a chapter story of her and her past/present/future life. I also feel like she is the one for me, her personality is so compatible with me that I'm sure I can come up with really great stories for her.

Will it be used in any kind of story?
Yes she will. I plan on making her, a great story, as well as art and she will be placed in her own spot on my characters page. I think that Valen's story was one of the best stories I have made.^^ I really connected with her and writing her story was like breathing; to me it was natural.^^

Describe its personality:
Valen can be described as strong, stubborn, sweet, loyal, sometimes aggressive, smart , alert and a bit sarcastic. She enjoys being outside in no matter what the weather but contrary to her pelt color and thickness she really doesn’t like the freezing cold. She knows how to get a job done and how to do it right and would never give up on a mission. She can be a bit easily distracted by small things but her love of doing her job helps her come over anything that would get in her way.

Write an introduction for your Tracker:

It was a dark, freezing day when my life was changed forever. I should have known that day would be bad; I mean it was my least favourite type of weather, snow. I hate it!

Back to what I was saying; it was a dark, freezing day when my life was changed forever. I was on a mission with my master, Anna Wells. We were to track and apprehend two well known bandits who had taken refuge in a cabin up in the mountains. The snow that day was so deep that it almost reached my white belly fur.

My master and I were about to close in on the snow covered cabin when suddenly the air around us turned red as bullets rained down. I turned around, startled, and then raced for cover, my master right behind me. The forest was just 100 yards away from us as the bullets still came down. We’re going to make it! I thought over and over as the trees got closer and closer. Then when we were only 10 yards away, my life turned on its head as my master, poor, wonderfully sweet Anna, cried out in pain as she was hit by a bullet in her back. I heard her crumple to the ground in the cold, unforgiving snow.

I raced back to her; the bullets had paused after they had made contact with my master. I stood next to her my sightless eyes looking at her as she lay in the snow. Whimpering, I nudged her with my muzzle. Please! Come on Anna. You have to get up! I whimpered again, begging her to get up. My ears fell away from their alert position as she laid there, unmoving.

Then, my ears shot back up as I heard her give a slight cough and she tried to lift her head up. It didn’t get very high; her dark brown hair was still mostly in the snow.
“V-val-l-en?” She said, addressing me by the name she gave me when she had adopted me from my creator, Nex, more than two years ago.

I whimpered back to let her know I was there, the tip of my nose was resting lightly in her hair.

“Ah, m-my sweet l-lit-t-tle Valen.” She murmured, her voice strained and shaky, obviously from the pain and cold. She raised a shaky hand to touch my muzzle. “I remember our f-first mission. It w-was cold then, j-just like i-it is now. Valen, please get away. T-these bandits, without me to h-help prot-tect you, t-they will take you and use you for their dirty work or-r w-worse they will kill you.”

I stood there silently; her voice was getting worse and worse as she spoke. Her breath was becoming ragged, I knew in my heart that this was her last day and these were her last minutes.

“Valen, y-you k-know that I am n-not going to m-make it. I want you to run as f-fast as you can. D-don’t g-go back to our b-base. They will catch y-you before you could m-make it there.” Anna whispered. I had to lean in close to her to hear the last thing she had to say. “Valen, I have cherished this time together, I won’t forget you. Now go! I-I hear them coming!” Anna whispered, her head no longer supporting its self as she closed her bright green eyes and moved on to wherever spirits go.

A bullet was fired again as I was about to turn and run away. I howled in fear, not just of death but of what might become of me if I don’t do what Anna’s final wishes were. Turning away from Anna’s body, I raced as fast as my feet could go.

I ran for a long time, from those treacherous murderers. I ran for so long that first day that I collapsed from exhaustion in a frozen field. I spent an hour laying there unable to move. If I had eyes, I would have cried for my loss. I loved Anna; I felt like giving up and dying in the cold snow. But Anna’s words kept me from slipping into the madness of giving up.

After that, I finally felt like I had the power to keep going. I had spent many months running. For fear of being captured, I travelled north hoping that the cold weather would get these bandits off my trail. After another exhausting night of travelling, I was walking near a worn, hiking trail when suddenly there was the sound of metal crushing together and extreme pain in my right front paw. I yelped and tried to pull my paw from the thing that had caused me pain only to find that I couldn’t pull it away. I looked down and realized I had stepped in a steel bear trap and the clamp had a firm grip on my paw; I was lucky that it was rubber edged and not spiked. I also realized the trap was chained to the ground; I was traped.

I began howling, hoping that someone would help, but no one came. Why? I can’t go like this, trapped here only to die a long, painful death. I thought as I howled for hours until my voice faded out. After a few hours, my voice was gone; after a few days, I laid on the ground my spirit almost broken.

I was lying on the ground, my head resting on the leaves that had hidden the trap from my view. My paw was swollen but it wasn’t broken. I had been here for maybe five or six days, I don’t really remember.
Snap!
My ears shot forward, I could feel life return to my body as the snap of a twig echoed through my ears and my survival instinct kick in. My voice was still gone so I couldn’t growl. I managed to stand back up with causing myself too much pain. The sound had come from farther up the trail and soon a young girl was trotting up the trail towards me.
The girl stopped as she got closer to where I was standing, trapped and cornered. I could tell she was staring at me when she reached out towards me. I silently growled at her and waited for her to try anything.
When she backed up, I relaxed a little.

“Shhhhh. Calm down doggy.” The young girl had said as she held up her hands in a manner that meant she means no harm. I didn’t relax but I stopped my silent growls. “Good, now I want to set you free but I have to get close.” She warned before she headed towards me again. This time I let her come close enough that she could have petted my head but I quickly and silently growled at her and tried to struggle to get free. The girl didn’t back off this time.
I think she understood how frightened I was of her and of what would happen after she freed me.

I was still tugging when suddenly I heard the clamp come undone and I toppled over. I quickly stood up and ran, as fast as my injured paw would allow, into the forest and stopped once I was hidden from her view.
The girl sighed and started to walk back the way she came. For some reason I felt compelled to follow her. I soon limped after her. I tried to keep quiet so she wouldn’t know I was following her, but I had a feeling she knew I was there.

After around ten minutes of walking, the girl had stopped at the edge of a small town. She slowly turned around and knelt closer to the ground so as not to intimidate me. She whistled softly, trying to get me to step out of the shadows. I allowed my head to come out and I shook it to say no.

This time she whistled again and spoke. "Come here girl. I won’t hurt you; I know you are scared and hurt. I can help you. I just need you to come closer so I can look at your paw and at your collar. By the way my name is Autumn." The girl had said.

I stood there for a while thinking it over. I knew I needed help but I was still afraid. But most of all, I didn’t want to feel like I was going to replace Anna with this girl, Autumn.
The girl stood up and looked like she was about to leave.

Giving up all of my fears, regrets and past pains, I limped up the girl who, for me, was my saviour. She was the person I needed when I was just about to give up. I got as close as I could and I sat down in front of her.

Autumn gently touched the collar that was around my neck and read the single word that was etched into it. “Valen.” She said before she looked at my paw and then turned and said. “Come Valen, time to take you home where you can be safe and warm.” I stood up and limped after my new master, Autumn, and towards my new life as a companion and as friend.

We sat together as the cherry blossoms fell around us,
Our eyes focused towards each other showing us our love, our trust.
My muzzle under his chin, his head nestled over mine,
We belong together all through out time.

Together our souls will see,
Together forever we will always be.
Even if forever dies,
Our love, our trust will always fly.

Together forever just Bledri and me.

Nex, does the part of why one wants a tracker help one in any way?
im basically never on, so if you wanna with trade me or if you message me, be prepared to wait a while for a response. this account is first and foremost a personal archive for sentimentality's sake as it was a big part of my childhood.
