So I just wrote this while sitting on the ground cuz my cat wouldn't move off my lap. Spencer has a dream about the first time he met Erik Forde.

He shrieked as he was running up, with Alyss bounding along behind.
"Toby!" He called, hiding behind him. "Tell her I didn't mean it!"
"What'd you do this time?" Toby asked with a laugh.
"He called Jack!" Alyss grabbed for him, and Toby did very little to help him.
And then Erik Forde had arrived.

Spencer jerked awake, his heart racing. He remembered that day very well. It was back when they were still fifteen, and Toby had managed to meet him at the library. He'd decided to call Jack, his sister's crush back in Ireland, and she hadn't been too happy with him.
That had been a good day, until Erik Forde showed up. It was hard to forget the first time he met Toby's father; he was a tall, imposing figure, with much harsher features than his son.
He'd heard very little about the man, except that he was overly strict and that Toby never wanted Spencer to meet him. But when he saw how Toby shrunk back, he realized why.

Now he was scrambling out of bed, trying to push the memory away. A lot had happened that day, and very little did he want to remember. Namely how him and Alyss had almost been sent to Juvie, and the pain in his fist. Erik Forde's jaw was practically made of steel.

Toby was already awake when he came into the living room. Apparently Toby saw how shaken he was, as he put down his laptop and turned on The Walking Dead. Spencer sat next to him, gratefully.
"Wanna talk about it?" Toby asked softly.
"Not at all."
They stayed like that the rest of the night.

He still won't move, my phone's at 20%, and I'm outside with no access to my kindle. I need assistance! Why can't I ever have motivation to write when it's convenient?!

I think I might actually use my space story for Nano instead of MMAY. My romance stories need to be taken slow. Plus, so much has changed for my unnamed sci-fi adventure and I really just need to push myself to get it all down. I also feel like I'd be more motivated to write it bc MMAY is really really depressing >.>

She's been diagnosed with PTSD, depression, and social anxiety. She spends most of her time alone or struggling to make it through the day without having some kind of breakdown.

He's the new kid, and the sweetest boy she's ever met. He made friends at the school rather quickly and grew popular with ease. But there's something different about him. Something sad.

When their lives clash and each find themselves falling in love, neither is sure if they want to run as far away as possible or never leave the others side.

At least you've got a synopsis down. My NANO idea is somewhere between that and a brainstorm.

Merit is a 16-year-old kid who lives in space. No, not like an open space. He literally lives in outer space, jumping around to different galaxies and planets, stealing whatever he can to turn a profit. What else can a kid do to make a living after being abandoned by his own parents? When one of his plots goes wrong, he's forced to flee to Earth. While trying to remain inconspicuous, he has to act like a normal high school student, but only with the help of a sassy schoolgirl can he attempt to fit in while he tries to figure out what is so important about the particular item he stole.
