Tracker Dog you want: Number 15
Name you'll give it: Věřím ve vás [I believe in you in Czech]
Nickname: Verr [ve-air]
Place of birth: Michigan, UP
Date of Birth: September 17
Reason why you want it:
Goodness, oh it's hard to begin.
One, his looks.
He is one of the most beautiful Trackers in the whole Tracker world. I love the mix of purple and grey and black and cream. His tongue is oddly amazing purple. I love how he's a mix of those stripes and spots, and he just has the most beautiful design. He's worth everything I have to give him.
Two, Trackers themselves.
It took me forever to find this thread. Honestly, I love the tracker design. Their idea of just... Tracking is awesome! From the second you released them in Oekaki I've wanted one. Beautiful, heart-stopping species.
Three, his personality.
Goodness, he looks like such a sweetie! I just want to cuddle him. He sounds like the kind of character I need. He's just so wonderful, the story's already in my head. He's so amazing, and I'm so happy to get the chance to adopt him.
If I get him
1. Fan art- Oh, art is one of the biggest things I bathe my characters in (besides love, haha ^^). I would be sure to order and make Verr much of it, and from some of my personal favorite artists on CS and DA too. <3
2. Story- He'll be put on my character's story's thread, so everyone can read about him and understand him better. ^^ I could even see myself writing a small novel, partially based on him. ^^
3. Character Thread- Of course he'd be placed in my favorite character's thread. <3 Just so everyone could see him... xD
Thanks Nex,
Joy
Will it be used in any kind of story?
Yes, his own, and maybe in another tracker's if I happen to win him and/or another one.
He will also be in the comic I'm writing and doing on oekaki, called The Half Moon. http://www.chickensmoothie.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=343913&hilit=The+Half+Moon

Describe its personality:
-Quiet-
Věřím ve vás doesn't speak much. He likes to put his words into actions. He's content with the way he is, though. He'll speak when needed, but even then it's only a few sentences. One reason he doesn't talk much is so he can listen to his elders more clearly. He gets a lot of respect for that. Because of that respect, people take him seriously, and in response to that, it's another reason very few things come from his mouth.
-Alert-
Verr is always on the lookout for trouble. He understands that he needs to protect his owner and is determined to live up to his expectations. Though he wouldn't ever hurt a fly -he couldn't if he tried-, he was made to warn and protect, and that's what he will do. So, as is his duty, his ears are always perked in anticipation.
-Determined-
As his enemies would say, he never gives, up no matter what. Everything he does is in the name of something important to him, and what he wouldn't do to protect them isn't even worth thinking about. Verr is one of the most head strong trackers there are. He won't say no to anything that matters.
-Curious-
If something important is going on, Věřím ve vás is the first to know about it. He's very persistent to figure out problems and help people with things that are absolutely not his business. He means no harm, but sometimes that's just not needed. If he finds something he hasn't seen before, he instantly needs to figure out what it is and does. He likes to watch baby chicks hatching from their eggs. He says they prove there's always something new to learn about them and anything else. Most laugh at that, but he doesn't care. What he believes is what he believes.
-Steadfast-
No one changes what Verr thinks. He won't change for anyone else, no matter what they say. If it's his family, his friend, his love, his owner, it doesn't matter. He does what he does, it is what it is. Some say it's a charming quality, some think it's downright annoying. Verr doesn't think about it a bit. He loves who he is, and is determined to keep it that way. He won't change for anyone.
-Thunderstorms-
Thunder and Lightning-he loves them. The way they go together remind him of himself, in a way. And what his life used to be. They... Inspire him, in a way. He'll sit out in one for hours on end just watching in the rain.
Write an introduction for your Tracker:
The moon whispers to me.
Are you there?
Can you hear me?
I've no way of knowing.
But I know you.
I've got a bad habit of
Never giving up
Even when you want me to.
...
The stars shatter
and the sun repossesses its sky.
My ear twitched. Nothing. It sat there and, sadly, horridly, unnoticed me. How unfortunate of the thing. How sad. This would be an easy catch.
I silently remembered my first time hunting. The old master had taken me out, and motioned where I was supposed to go and what I was supposed to do. Life was good there.
Unfortunately, I became sick. Very, very sick at that, and I had a choice to make. Stay or leave. When I could only get better if I was in the wild, leaving was the obvious choice. So, that night, when it was dark and I could see best, I escaped. No one found me, and I'd been sneaking around ever since.
Oh, I miss them, I thought, starting to whine in sadness. I then whipped my head around, realizing my mistake as the young rabbit bolted off. Every dog knows that if it gets a head start running that you could never catch up to a rabbit. Well. There went my dinner for the day.
I sighed, turning around and kicking the dirt in front of me. Just my luck. Verr, I thought to myself. Stop now.
It was best not to dwell too long on my situation. I was a tracker dog. I knew how to get work done.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Three days, and I'd caught nothing. This was the usual routine. I'd catch something, and then nothing for a week or so. If I was lucky, every once in a while I'd be able to grab an unhealthy animal or so during the week. It was unlikely though. That's why I found it extremely surprising to smell fresh venison up in the north.
I turned around to glance at my temporary home before bolting off. It was an old bear cave, but it was all the while for me while I happened to be there. It wasn't that big, but it was big enough. There were stains inside of it where I'd eaten before, but it was still warm and cozy.
I smiled, just barely, then turned and took off after the scent. The wild grass and moss beneath my pads tickled them. Running forward with the wind was my purpose. To be free, to feel alive. It was amazing, every bit of it.
The scent grew stronger, and I slowed down. This was one of the two reasons I was created; to be stealthy, and to follow orders. I peeked around the side of the tree's barrel that I was hiding behind, and saw two hunters. They were tall and ratty looking. Both had muffled brown hair, and had blood staining both their white shirts. I didn't know why they'd wear white, but they had...
They were cleaning out a freshly killed doe while muttering things to each other. Their backs were turned towards me, and there was an easily-to-be-grabbed buck right behind them. Slowly, I pulled myself forward. I knew that even the slightest noise could have me caught. Fortunately, I made it to the deer without being noticed.
Now how to pull back this thing, I thought. Hesitantly, I put my jaws around the back leg, and clamped down. Slowly but surely, I pulled back. Lucky for me, there were no leaves on the ground, just long, lush grass. It barely made any noise.
After about a minute of dragging it step by step, we were behind the tree. I suppressed a sigh of relief, then, gratefully, I started to eat my fill.
I only got a few bites into when I heard them. "Hey... Hey where'd our buck go?" one said, obviously from the southern part of the country.
"Oh. Wh-What?! Oh Lord, what'd you do this time, Carl?" the other said, with a hard, eager voice.
The other one, Carl, apparently, sounded startled. "Me? Y'ur the one who told me ta' leave it there!"
"Oh, shut up. What happened to it?"
"Jake, how should I know?" Carl sighed.
I took a step backwards, hoping and praying that they wouldn't hear or see me. All of a sudden, a whistling sound came from the west. I looked towards the sound, and immediately, a young human boy pushed his way through the leaves. There was a bag hanging off his right shoulder, carelessly left unzipped. He was wearing a black and green electric hoodie, and dark blue jeans. He looked shocked to see the two men in the field, and his whistling tune drifted off into the wind.
"Um, hey fellas," he said uncomfortably, shuffling his bag from right shoulder to left. "Why're you out here so late?"
The men exchanged looks, then Jake clenched the gun in his hand tighter. "Why?" he said, taking a step towards the boy. "Oh, we're hunters. Now, what's your name, boy?" He asked, toying with the gun.
The boy, who was obviously frightened still spoke with confidence. With a feeling of regret, I was also surprised to see that I admired that about him. "Me? My name's Nick. And you are?"
"People who want to know where their fresh meat went," growled Carl, huffing over to the boy. Jake reached out a hand and held him back.
"Now, now, Carl. Don't get your hands dirty, let me deal with this." Jake lifted his gun and walked over to stand next to Nick. "Now you surely want to go back home and see your family again, don't you boy?"
"Yessir."
"You don't want to have anything to do with us, do you boy?"
"No sir."
"Good, because you won't need to." Jake turned to a very unhappy Carl, and gave him an unreadable look. "If you tell us where our buck went."
"Sir, I don't know," Nick said, taking a step towards them. When Jake spun around, gun pointed up, Nick quickly retraced his steps, cringing backwards.
"Who else would've taken it?" exclaimed Carl, who was obviously extremely upset.
"Nobody," agreed Jake, pointing the gun up at Nick. "Now where did it go?"
Were they going to kill him? I thought. Gah, this is all my fault. I'm going to have to fix it.
