So, I finally settled on a name for my main character for my NaNo story! His name is Meriddean, Merit for short =D Now to find a name for the girl...*sighs*
Awesome!
My hideous writing, grammar correction and feedback is needed please and thank you
BeepBeepBeep “Rise and shine Colby!” I heard my mother’s voice enter my nightmare, suddenly the chaos of a burning fire was clouded by the pouring rain. The fire was out... My eyes bursted open after my mother shouted my name again.
“What time is it?” I said dizzily sitting up in my bed and my head spinning in circles.
“7 a.m. You’ve gotta get ready for you’re OVERNIGHT field trip.” My mother said patting my head, over exaggerating the “overnight” part.
“...Alright... I’ll get my stuff packed”. I felt the 1 percentage of my energy leaving my body after hearing my mother chat on and on about my camping trip with my school, the worst part of the trip is we are going to have to set-up and sleep in tents! They think we’re animals! Hopefully there isn’t a campfire, or any swimming in a lake where leeches and mosquitoes live.
I quickly ate my breakfast, and I ran upstairs trying to pick out the most appropriate camping clothes. I packed 3 bottles of bug replant and my favorite blanket and sweaters... LOADS of sweaters. I grabbed my bag and ran downstairs grabbing my backpack while carrying my heavy night pack.
“Ready Mom!” I screamed to her as she put her coffee in a hydroflaske.
“I’m so excited!” My mother said almost looking as if she could scream for joy and brag in all her “Mom” friends faces.
We walked out the door and straight to our driveway where our beautiful car was sitting. I opened the automatic moving-doors and shoved my giant bag and backpack in there.
We walked out the door and straight to our driveway where our beautiful car was sitting. I opened the automatic moving-doors and shoved my giant bag and backpack in there. As we headed to school, my mother kept asking the same old question, “Did you pack enough layers! Oh! Also did you bring sun-screen. I don’t want you to get skin-cancer”. All I did was nod back and forth. Finally, my mother pulled up to the school and I grabbed my bags which were about twice the size of my body and lugged them inside the school without saying goodbye to my mother.
