I took French.
...We did this a lot.
I'm bilingual and linguistics is pretty interesting to me so I've done some research and such... because research is fun... but anyways, it's just all the different forms of the verb in present tense, like in English, the word 'meet' has different forms depending on the subject. ...It's actually really fun not gonna lie...
...I like to be technical.
The great thing about actually having the language is that you can then get a realistic accent; chances are a speaker of this language who is not fluent in English would often forget to put indefinite articles before nouns, and due to the Subject-Object-Verb sentence structure you might get them slipping up on the order in which words in general are supposed to go, and with the language's habit of forming compound words to describe new things rather than making up entirely new words means they'd probably call some things by funny names- and I really enjoy worldbuilding probably more than writing the story itself honestly if I dedicated the plot as much time as I dedicated to thinking about the culture of all these different aliens I'd have that book done in no time someone please kick me in the butt and tell me to write the actual /story/ or none of this will be very useful

Ugh I've barely been writing at all lately. School, art, and laziness are taking over my life. BUT...if any of you remember that time travel story I posted a while ago? With Scotch? I'm gonna rewrite (or at least revise) what I have so far and actually plan a plot out, so I'm not completely making everything up as I go along.
