Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sentient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

I ended up getting a full litter for this batch, and so I figured I would put one up for adoption!

Lyrus Lawrence Vance // male // florist
Lyrus moved to the city from the Midwest to open a flower shop. He's always been in love with nature and plants. He's a serious nerd about flowers, and often gets caught up in explaining the "language of flowers" to anyone that will listen. He's very knowledgeable about flower symbolism, and uses this knowledge to create gorgeous arrangements laden with meaning.
He seems soft at first, but is actually quite strong personality wise. He's loves taking care of others and helping with their problems, but he's not afraid to call you out on your stupidity. As a dad, he can be very busy, but makes sure to take time out of his day to spend with his kids. He feels especially proud when they take an interest in his work.

Pantalaimon Vance // male // bartender
Pan moved around a lot while he was younger, but eventually settled down back in his home town, and became a bartender. He's great at his job, because he's a people person, and a good listener. He loves interacting with his customers, and meeting all kinds of new people. In his free time, he volunteers at an after school program, helping kids with homework and such, and practices taekwondo. It was at his volunteer work that he met his husband, through Lyrus' child, Mischa.
Pan is enthusiastic and cheerful about most everything he does. He's a gentle giant, with a soft spot for kids. As a father, he's the type to want to go to every school function, and help bake for fundraising, and is sincere about wanting to help his kids in pursuit of any activity they want to try out.

Mischa Fae Vance // genderfluid // college student/bee keeper
Mischa is Lyrus's son from a previous relationship. He didn't know about Mischa until the kid showed up one day at his shop, and he promptly decided to let him stay. He is still living at home with his dad, while taking a few college classes. He helps his dad in his flower shop, and keeps bees on their rooftop.
He's very energetic and always willing to lend a helping hand. Ever an optimist, he tries hard to find a silver lining in even the worst situations. If he's in a bad mood, he tries not to let it show. He has a childlike nature, and wants to see the good in everyone. This can sometimes lead to him being a little naive, and easy to take advantage of. As a sibling, he's very interested in teaching the younger kids about bees, and he loves taking them out shopping and to the park to play. It means a lot to him, what the kids think of him.

Delphinium "Dell" Vance // male
Dell take a lot after his half brother Mischa. He's sweet and always wants to lend a helping hand. A bit naive. But smarter than he looks when it comes to books and facts. Cares a lot about animals, and is the one always bringing home strays and asking to keep them. They don't have enough room for all of them, but Pan helps him find them good homes. He's a hopeless romantic.
When he grows up he leaves home to be a shepherd. He loves spinning yarn and knitting with his sheep's wool.

Gladiolus "Dio" Vance // male
Dio is the "older brother" type. He's pretty grumpy and always scoffing at the stuff his siblings do, but when it comes down to it, he'd protect them with everything he's got. The type to say, "Hey! Only I can make fun of my sibling!" Sort of androgynous in looks. Tough and can kick your butt. Pretends not to care about being pretty but he loves it.
When he grows up, he becomes a fencing teacher.

Euthalia Snapdragon Vance // female
She's shy and immensely passive aggressive and super protective over her friends and family but generally considers physical fights beneath her. That doesn't stop her from training with Pan however so that if push comes to shove she can still kick someone's butt. She's very friendly but has a way of speaking down to people that earns her a lot of enemies as well. She's sassy and says what she's thinking, which can sometimes hurt other peoples' feelings without that being her intention.

Home:

The family lives in the large apartment above Lyrus' flower shop, and they have a greenhouse and a few gardens on the roof, as well as beehives where Mischa keeps his bees.
The dads are married and quite taken with each other. They're caring of their children and would never abuse or neglect them.

name: adonis vance. named after the greek mythology figure,
adonis, a beautiful youth whom aphrodite fell in love with.
adonis was born from myrrha, a human woman turned into
a myrrh tree. adonis was a skilled hunter, and in jealousy of
his excellence, was killed by a wild boar sent by the god art
emis. he died in aphrodite's arms, and after his death she spr
inkled his spilled blood with nectar. from this sprang the short
-lived anemone; a beautiful violet flower which takes its name
from the wind which so easily makes its petals fall.

personality:adonis is the smallest sibling, essentially the
'runt of the litter' who's in his constant angsty teenage phase.
but what he lacks for in size, he makes up for in personality.
adonis takes after euthalia in sassiness and dio in a grumpy
attitude. his sweet, innocent looks are just that: looks. he has
plenty of bark and bite to pass around. adonis is a very indepe
ndant, flamboyant and dramatic kalon. he's a bit snotty and st
uck up, and vain. pretty lazy and only puts in effort when required.

out of anything and in general is pretty calm.

Aquilegia feels lucky to have such great dads, she wouldn't trade them for anyone else. They do embarrass her in front of her friends which they always laugh about afterwards.

Aquil looks up to him, she loves his passion for bees and sometimes they go watch the bees together while Mischa explains the sweet taste of honey, as Aquil has never had any but really would like to.

she loves her siblings and all, but they can be quite a pain. Her brothers love to pull her hair and that gets her quite steamed. She always screams at them but of course they never listen to her. But on their good days they will all get together and play board games, although her siblings always fight over Boardwalk, she doesn't want it any other way.
