Hmm, that's a tough one. I could see it going both ways... Would you have a preference? With feral horses, sans Mustangs (because they're branded and have their own taming events), I was thinking the usual adoption method would be an adoption fee and then a series of stories to complete in order to "tame" the horse for training, but I wasn't entirely planning on that for the event... Hmm. If you wanted, I could have the taming process take place after someone wins a horse so they could still be feral and eligible for registration?
I'd certainly love to see it if you wanted to PM it to me! No pressure, though ^^ I think the issue is that my method currently doesn't have a scoring system, just a comparison ranking, which is really difficult when I'm having to judge horses I've created myself -- there are specific things I want to penalize but I don't have a points system to take anything away from, and three different tries later, I can't for the life of me figure out how to come up with an objective scoring system! I do have a couple budding ideas, though -- perhaps those will be able to mesh with your system and we can work out a way to judge halter/showmanship c: I don't mind difficult at all -- just inconsistent, so if we can set it up properly, we should be good to go c; I'd be happy to keep it around if I can figure out a consistent rewards system!
