overcaffienated. is absolutely right! You are more than welcome to get one of these horses and use them for an English discipline -- the "western" part just means that they'll tend to have stats that go best with western events, but they can often very easily translate over to English disciplines as well c: I hope to be done with these horses in a few days all the same, though!

I'll get to those purchases and breedings right away! <3

I do want to encourage you all again to enter your horses in the shows -- the showing system has been revamped and I'm so incredibly pumped for it! ^^ Everything is super realistic now and every horse has a very good shot at placing high in the rankings c: I'll try to have the rest of the page completed soon but until then, go ahead and enter anyways -- showing fees are going to go up a lot after this week! c;

I've also been flirting with an idea and I think I'm going to do it: Breeding score. Stallions -- perhaps mares, though I'm not sure yet; at the least, definitely stallions -- will have a breeding ability score located under their stud fee. This score will determine the quality of horses he is able to produce so that you may have to decide sometimes between a low breeding score but high stats and a high breeding score with low stats. Colts will have their scores calculated based off of their sire's ability, so they may increase, may decrease, who knows? A lot of it is going to be random c:

I imagine this won't be popular with people whose stallions receive low breeding scores and will be popular with people whose stallions receive high breeding scores, but unfortunately I do think it'll be necessary for the sake of the game ^^ That way, we can regulate better the horses that are being produced yet still allow for great foals, and stud fees can be given a bit more weight so that horses with high breeding scores and high stats will be very valuable and desirable <3 I'll try to get this idea all fleshed out by tonight!

Hey, all! I'm currently trying to decide what to do with combined driving so if you wanted check all that information out, head on over to the RVEC discussion thread and vote in the poll to let me know what you're thinking! c: Thank you!

EDIT: CS has a bug where votes do not reset unless you first remove all poll info and then submit it before redoing the poll, so the votes you saw were not accurate. Please go and submit your vote again if you voted before now! <3 Thank you!

All right! This is my last post of the night, but I just wanted to let everybody know that the breeding ability scores and breeding success rates are finally up! Expect some major changes in breeding, but hey, not all change is bad change ^^

What does this mean?

Breeding ability scores are used for stallions only and are a measurement of how well they pass on their traits. They typically range somewhere between 20 and 50, with higher scores being better. A stallion will be worth more if he has a higher breeding score, as that means his offspring will have a higher potential when their stats are being determined. BASs are genetic and pass down to colts. (Because this is a new system and I made a few changes back and forth, please PM me or post on your horse's page if you would like a reroll for his BAS. You will only get one reroll and you cannot choose the better of the two; if you opt for a reroll and the number is lower than the previous, you still have to stick with the newer number.)

Breeding success rates apply to both mares and stallions and determine how likely it is for a breeding to result in a foal on the first try. If you have a mare with a low breeding success rate, you'll probably want to breed her to a stallion with a high breeding success rate and vice versa. You may still try unlimited times to breed a pair, but unless you purchase multiple breedings in advance for a bulk discount or something to that effect, it could start to get a little expensive (as you will be charged the horse's breeding fee each time). BSRs are genetic and pass down to foals. (You may not reroll a horse's BSR.)

Please let me know if you have any questions, and don't forget to vote on the poll in the discussion post! <3
