Little update! So obviously I took a tiny break last week and I thought I'd return this week but I got sick a few days ago and uni's starting tomorrow so I'll have to take another week off!

In the meanwhile, I seemed to have regained interest in another species I've created. I'm keeping it on DeviantART only, but I'm afraid I might lose interest in SRs due to already having a species to create designs for (and let's be real, working on same pixels over and over again gets tiring after a while).
For those who are interested, the species is called Cloudaroos and so far I only have one adoptable batch out, but I'll work on their info eventually (which might also eat up my time, whoops!)

I actually still have like 3 litters I haven't posted. I'll probably put them out for adoption and possibly close down this thread? It would feel sad to see SRs end though, but since I started uni I can hardly find the time to do anything. That's what I get for being an engineer!
This semester is supposed to be fairly easy, too. But even with me being busy currently, next semester I will burn due to so many important lectures! So much studying. ;;

I prefer working on Cloudaroos because I can draw new linearts and also sharpen my drawing skills. SRs were a side project to help me with creating designs, but they didn't exactly keep me drawing. (glad to hear you find them adorable, btw!!)

I'm honestly not sure how to go on with this? Should someone else take over the thread and be the new owner or should I close them down, giving away the lineart for any of you to color in yourselves? Uhm, I should probably post a poll about this.


I'm so sorry that I can't keep the thread going, it's been fun while it lasted! I just can't handle everything that's happening. ;w;

Maybe you could make it an open species? That would be cool because people can create their own and keep SR alive still without you having to do as much on the thread.

How would an open species work here though? I wouldn't be doing much, you could all just create your own SRs anytime. Would there even be a need for a thread? (though I suppose if you want to share your creations, then yeah)

Why don't you just hire someone to keep running the species for you? =D

Open species don't work so well when the lineart needs to be downloaded. (I run into compatibility issues between things like Gimp and Photoshop a lot)

oh, no ;n; i love SRs, and i'd be absolutely heartbroken to see them end. i personally vote they go to another person; i don't have the energy to keep up on it, otherwise i'd offer to take them... i can, however, offer my services as an artist! i've always wanted to work on adoptables, and it'd get me back into drawing for sure!

i'll be honest... there's such a shortage of bunny adoptables out there, and SRs are a wonderful, simple idea. imo, to let them disappear would be a mistake. snow bunny, you've done so much work to bring together such a lovely idea, and i really want to thank you for that. i'd never been into the user-made adopts before i found these little babies. they've brought me a lot of joy, and i'm sure they've done the same for others, too! however, your real life is more important, and you should focus on university as much as you can. follow your dreams and all that shizz, my dude. <3

Hm yeah that's true. Perhaps I should look for a person, though I'm not sure who'd be up to this. ;w; Running a species isn't easy and a lot of people prefer to just be artists, which is understandable!!

Ahh, I'm happy to hear such nice things from you! ;; Thank you for being so nice!! I'd probably return to the thread once in a while to either adopt or do a guest litter if I'm up for it (and if I'm allowed to)


So uh. If anyone wants to take over the thread, feel free to PM me/comment here or anything? I don't think I'll get many people but I'd like someone who's passionate about keeping the thread alive. ;w;
You don't have to follow what I did with the weekly litters and all, it was just a way for me to organize things. Also you don't HAVE to use Photoshop/a program with layers to make adoptables, you can simply download .png files from the rarity guide, mix them around and color them in (no need for the shading on the back legs, I ignored them when I was using this method at work).

Also whoever took over would have the freedom to make any edits and add/remove things! I know different people have different ways of doing stuff and mine was basically what this thread has been until now. ;w;
