And maybe with the contest/event, the more places you advertise, the more tickets you get or some sort of prize or something? I mean, even if it's a short event, it would be fun to do! That would get a few more rare or uncommon Leafies into circulation, too.
Either way, I'll make space for Leafies in my sig, when I get my computer back c:

Perhaps there could be seasonal events? Like a summer event, a Halloween event ect... That could attract people?

There will definitely be a Halloween event for Leafie adopts, just putting that out there!
Seasonal events sound good - they've been successful for other cs species so I'll give it a whirl with Leafies ^^

In addition, there could be a team made to help promote the adopt. Moderators of the adopt on the front page if still active could help with the advertising by putting things in signatures and posting in forum games.

I don't have any guest artist experience, but I've been a full artist for a fair number of species. The two most recent are my own species, Trimaes (currently on a short hiatus), and Embyre Daemons, owned by Shenan_the_cat.
