Shinju Marble Dragons are small by reptilian standards, though quite large as far as us humans are concerned.
They are - usually - wingless and furry drakes, about the size of a Clydesdale. They're built for runningover land, with bearlike paws and doglike teeth. They are at the very top of the food chain wherever they are, and quickly become comfy where they situate themselves.Shinjus come in a variety of colors, and a variety of
mutations as well. There are two species of SMDs that we know of, the Common Shinju and the Butterfly Shinju, which appear every so often in the thunders Common Shinjus create. These Butterfly Shinjus are more brightly colored than your average Shinju, mainly coming in pastel shades.

What's With The Smoke?: Shinji used to live far away from here, in a peaceful mountain valley in Japan. She lived in a family grouping of Marble Dragons, with her mother, father, older brother, and two younger twin sisters. One day, a large, powerful Marble Dragon arrived in their small valley, demanding that they all leave immediately. They refused, of course. It was their home, they weren't going to leave. The Marble Dragon attacked the one closest to him. Shinji. She felt no pain, just felt herself fall. Then the world went black. When she awoke, she was surrounded by smoke. She tried to walk out of it, but to no avail. She quickly ran into a nearby stream, thinking there was a fire. When she pulled herself out on the other side of the stream, she saw there was no fire. Even more confusing, the smoke was slowly starting to come back, but not as much as before. She found that if she kept moving the smoke wouldn't block her vision. She set off to find her family. After hours of searching, she still couldn't find them. She couldn't find any signs of life, surprisingly. Usually there was at the very least a mouse or two. She began to walk to the cave her family called home. Maybe they were there? Maybe they chased out the newcomer? Then...why did they not bring her back? Shinji started to run. She jumped into the cave, eyes wide and frantic. There was one creature in there, other than Shinji, of course. The strange Marble Dragon looked up. His surprised expression slowly changed to one of smug satisfaction. He licked his blood stained muzzle. "Get out of my cave, Shinji."
