I've been more of a lurker than actively participating in adoptions so its sad to see the this species go. It was nice to look at everyones forms to see all the effort and creativity put into them. Never owned one but dang some of the designs are gorgeous <3

I haven't been active here in the community for about a year or so, but it used to be a big part of my life. Having watched the rise and fall of many communities and species over the years, I understand completely. Good luck, Char, in everything you do. I am sure that no one who has been a part of Plumerians will ever forget you or the great memories we've made here. It's been a good run and I wish all of you the best!

lil quick post to remind you please dont guilt trip her. not only is this her species but shes had them on the site and almost 800 adopts, not adding in babies, which can easily add up to well over a thousand in total plumies. as we've seen with other adopts, ex JBD, changing owners doesn't really work, because eventually they jump around and, after awhile, finally close. as for the breedings, if plumies are closed, they are closed. char has the right to give out breedings, but remember, if you can get babies at a normal rate, they are not fully closed. please allow char to do her thing. for now, they are fully closed. i cannot imagine the stress that shes gone through (running a popular species, people constantly talking crap about her even though shes trying her best, having to stay on cs just to run a species she no longer wants to run). additionally, sending this to another owner (keep in mind, i dont know how this exactly feels, but from what i've seen, this is what im assuming) is like sending your life-long pet to another owner. obviously, you cant just kill the pet (please), but its very, very hard to just give it away. and since plumes aren't living creatures, its ok to close them up.

char, you have done a wonderful job with your species. I never got the chance to own one, but its probably because i've used CS less and less lately. you built a wonderful community and an amazing species. i have a fascination with anything feline-like, so plumes are a huge deal to me. though it seems unreal that plumes are gone (when i thought cs oekaki adoptables, i thought of plumes) i understand where you are coming from. despite having so many people do the jobs that would of made it worse, you still worked hard on making the community amazing and inspiring people to explore their arty sides. Char, you have changed the site, and the legacy of plumes will live on for a very long time

It's so sad to see you go. I wish that I could have gotten a plumerian but I understand why you feel the need to leave and would like to end it. If I ever opened up any of my species on CS I don't think that I would ever really be comfortable passing them on to anyone else either. It must have been a huge time commitment trying to run this species, especially since they're so popular. I hope that you have a great time with whatever you decide to do next

It's really moving to hear how much plumerians have meant to people, and again I really appreciate all this community has done for me. Unfortunately, I don't think I'd feel comfortable giving over ownership -- they were a lot of fun while they lasted, but I think it's really time for plumerians to close. I'd rather end on a good note and cut them off cleanly than go through the struggle of trying to find a successor when things might not work out, if that makes sense.

I'd also like to remind those of you upset about this that the fanclub is still remaining open, and you can still use your plumerians even if new ones aren't being made; you can find ships/develop them/etc; the only difference is that they can't have kids.

EDIT: And yes, growths can still happen! I just may be a bit slow to approve them.

Ahh so sad to see you and your species go! never got a hair plume babe XP But in the two years you ran Plumes i bet you've touched many and done a brilliant job of taking care of the species! Aww, I'm sad to see this species get closed. It would just be a suggestion, but maybe somebody else could take over the species? I know everybody is going to deny it because the species had lasted a very long time.
Also sad to see it go because I had not yet won a plumerian and have wanted one since I first saw this species in 2014.
