Either works! Non owner comps are always good, though - being a non owner can be tough! <3

Prompts for first come first serve contests?
I'd probably say no? I don't feel like having people be rushed to create a character is very good, as that's something that should take time. But if it's just like a gif contest, then that's a lil better! Overall though, I'd still say nah I hope I'm making sense whoops

I love character development contests! And story writing/poetry contests - there are some really beautiful writers in this lil community! :)

Writing, personally. Art is good too though c:

Prompts for first comer first serve contests? nah, but maybe simple trivia questions, or 'guess what I'm based off of' for nonowners? So it's a fun mix for just them to win a first kalon

I dont really believe in FCFS as its not very fair to some people and it doesn't allow for good character development or connection the the Kalon. But maybe a questionaire?

Contest types besides those?
Poem contests arent seen very often. Maybe a comic strip contest(kinda like a story but for the artists instead of writers.) A quirk or unique thing about the Kalon.

Art vs writing, which preferred?
I dont have a preference, but I feel like people dont appreciate the effort put into art as much as effort put into writing. (Maybe thats just me?)

Maybe five word max personality? So people have to have some idea and connection but don't have to write a horrible 200 word paragraph in a minute which they might not use anyway ;u; <3

guessing games are fun, and maybe trivia games? like finding certain things in google or finding a specific kalon <3 and I actually agree with Saudade; a quirk or something interesting about the kalon with a page limit or something would be fun!

Art vs writing, which preferred?
personally art because I have limited time and patience for writing |D
but writing sometimes helps people connect better, so I guess both? <3

Noooo, these are incredibly unfair

Short impress me's for non owners. You have two days to impress your judge, and its non owners only. Also poem writing, I like that. How about a contest for non owners where you have to talk about why you want a kalon? It would almost be a raffle, and there could be 'runner ups'. By this I mean that there is 1 'example' kalon that the contest is for, and all the best entries are put in a random number generator and the people who didn't win get rus? Also, basic kalon designs.

I think all of those sound fun! A lot of FCFS are "post claim and it's yours" so the "personality; quirk; favorite this or that; fitting gif/photo; and the like" are more unique and fun. FCFS always get me all hyped up and I end up shaking as CS loads my post xp

Uhhh, hmmm...Quirk; favorite item; favorite activity; personality in a sketch; personality in a song clip; memory in a song clip; personality in 2-5 things they commonly say

Depends on my mood and time, really. I love writing, and those are harder to come by, but sometimes the larger limits intimidate me. I trust my art more, but those usually get a lot of attention and entries, which also intimidate me xp
In a nut-shell, I'd say either but more writing contests would be neat to see; almost every species on here revolves around "Draw to Adopt" in one way or another, more than anything else.

No, If they're competing in contests with owners they have to work harder to get a kalon.

Yes, I got my first kalon from a non-owner contest, and I've seen quite a few non owners around the adopt pages.

I like impress mes but they're not very popular among others. Maybe a few where you choose a intj or whatever that personality test is, and explain then that way?

Eh? Since I have 3 kalons, I guess this isn't really my place to say. I want to say less, so I have a chance at the gorgeous babes haha
But I also recognize that it's helpful to have non-owner competitions. I would just say, less non-owner fcfs.

I prefer prompts cause it forces some form of connection and thought, rather than just an impulse claim
Active kalon owners who are invested in their kalons, and the community, help it grow ❤

I'm always a sucker for themesong or playlist contests. A "prettying up" contest may be cool too-
judging based off of name and how nicely coded/pretty the form actually is (or how much it shows of the kalon's personality).
One where you have to define/describe/design the home of the kalon may be neat too.
I also prefer ones that aren't "impress me" or have a surplus of extras.
I guess that's just because I enjoy seeing the competition of everyone kind of having the same format
and having to show character even though everyone has the same standards/rules/form.

No preferance, though I feel like writing is a bit undervalued in competitions.

i'm not really a huge fan of these, as they can be rather unfair and doesn't give time for people to think about whether or not they really want the design. but, if they had to be done, i would say maybe the first person to write a story about them exceeding etc words or the first person to draw a headshot of them wins.
