Prompt:
Roseclan has a tradition of making bone necklaces out of eaten prey. Its a tradition that goes back more moons than any cat can remember. The reason behined the tradition is that the cats cats of roseclan used to exchange gifts on full moon. Usually it was a pretty flower or a nice smooth stone they thought somecat would like. However one cat felt that none of the usual things were good enough or as personal as he wanted so he made a necklace out of rat bones and straw. He was very proud of his creation. When the cat gave his gift to his love interest however she was horrified. It was deemed an abomination and seen as a bad omen about the cat who made it. Quickly the cat came up with an idea, he'd lie; just a little. He told the others that the ancestors told him to do it and that each bone was blessed and the more bones on the necklace the more prey would come the next newleaf. The cats believed his lie and it became tradition for all cats to wear and gift a bone necklace to their loved ones.

Unfortunetly for the cat way back when his love interest didnt feel the same. What a shame.

“Deep at the bottom of the sea lives a giant squid. They say it’s magic, that’s why it’s so big. It has tentacles longer than anything you’ve ever seen and with them it will snatch naughty kits that don’t listen to the elders and get too close to the water. Sometimes, when the sky is clear and cloudless you can see it’s eyes peering back at you from the darkness of the endless sea.“

That’s the tale most commonly told in Windclan to keep the young out of trouble. Noone knows who was the first to come up with the story or see the squid because even the adults started to believe that the squid is real.

Although there are only a few older cats in Lightclan currently, they are wonderful at telling stories to the kittens. One such story is about the ghost cats that are said to patrol the forest at night. They say that the deceased cats are not from Lightclan, but housecats who did not believe in Starclan. These cats, unable to get into the starry territory of Starclan, are unfortunately destined to walk the forests until their spirits fade. The older cats use these stories to keep the faith up in the clan, and are always sure to explain that the kittens need not fear the ghosts. They are unable to harm living cats, and honestly, it's not like they could take on a clan cat. [ 124 words ]

There are plenty of stories in duskclan, from all over really. One of the favorites (well, for the grumpy elder's) to tell the kittens about is the story where the road ate up a whole patrol, and that's why when they become apprentices they have to run across the road instead of going slow.

hollowkit lead the march into the elder's den, right up to briarstalk's nest,"you told us you would tell us a story! it's story time!!" he huffed and sat down, confident that he was in the right for demanding a story somehow. the grumpy elder scoffed, then took a second before she chuckled,"oh i've got a story-" the kittens crowded around the elder, interested and curious.

"one day, a long long time ago, i was hunting with my mentors-- uh-- sunshine and-- barkpelt. we when out for patrol, but i was the only one who came back.", the kittens gasped here and wiggled around concerned. "cedarfang told us to go patrol the road, but when we went out there-- a dog was waiting for us! we chased it away but didn't realize, the road was watching. when sunshine went to follow it over the road, it ate him in whole big bite, then it went for barkpelt and he was gone just as fast!" the kittens let out a scream and skittered backwards as the elder got increasingly taller (just slowly standing up but sh),"i ran and ran but it was chasing me! when i got to camp it almost followed me in, but a whole patrol came out of no where and defeated it. but, we're secrelty always on the look out for the road- for when it attacks next!" the kittens squealed as briarstalk fake lunged at them and raced out of the den, eventually forgetting their terror and playing games about the road eatting cats.

Prompt:
Lightclan's camp is not very well sheltered because the climate is typically quite temperate. A few days a year, the temperature drops below freezing and the cats of Lightclan must do all they can to keep warm. Since they are not really used to the cold, they typically forgo their typical den layout and have one big group in the leader's den. This is located in a small cave on the edge of camp, and has enough room for the entirety of the clan. When it starts to get colder, the apprentices are tasked at helping Starwalker, Lightclan's leader, cover the floor of the cave with moss and leaves to better protect against the chilly stone floor. With all the cats huddled together in one den, they are able to keep warm enough during the few freezing nights of the year. The older warriors and those in command sleep closest to the entrance to the den in order to keep the weaker elders and kittens safe and warm. [ 168 words ]

At the start of the season, usually the first snow fall, cedarfang covers the dens with human scraps (jackets or socks or whatever that where thrown out on the highway). within the next few sunsets she moves the younger apprentices into the nursery if there is space and tries to move some of the warriors into the apprentice den and elder's den. something about body heat- no one ever cares, they just see it as an excuse to play around a little more than usual before bed. cedarfang herself sleeps in the nursery, right in front of the entrance in order to block some of the cold. they also take the snow from around camp and try to make a wall- kinda-- flamesong saw it one time on tv and insists that they do it every winter.

for this one, i'm gonna go more with the reality of their clan (3 cats) and say they've been alright. cedarfang did kinda take her son and make a new clan-- but they offered a home for a lost and afraid young warrior who chose the name flamesong. a few random loners have been helping them learn how to hunt as they try to find a place to call home- and they've learned a lot about the dangers of the world.
i'd say 8/10 on the goodness scale!
