We could do some sort of form? Like name, favorite rp genre, a small sample of rp to determine level of experience, how often you're on, ect. then sort everyone out to similar people to the best of our ability?

Exactly what I've been thinking, friend.

But I suppose being in one group isn't bad? I mean, whatever everyone else wants.

We could always do both - have one big group, and smaller roleplays running at the same time.

I don't think so. Since that would be quite a handful and we all have different levels of rp'ing and characters. I like the idea of both though that Aliria mentioned.

I personally think we should just stick to one thread and stay in one group?? Separating people into groups with their experience and such seems like a good idea at first but I feel like some people possibly might not be happy with what 'group' and such they're in and I like to roleplay with people of a higher literacy level than me ?? ;~;
I think it'd be easier to stick to one big group, then we can just roleplay with whoever we like/ whichever characters are open ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm gonna try to keep this brief dear lord I spend way too much time on character development if this one qualifies as 'not fully developed'

Name: Originally named Kaulaur Hadar d'Nimburu; while she technically lost the right to use this name when she was banished from Nimburu, she still uses it, perhaps out of some sentiment for her species' now-dead culture.
Nickname: Due to her status as a 'drifter', with no goal and no plans after she left Selhjei, nor any friends or family outside the system to speak of, her former employer, Richard Mallory, nicknamed her 'Drift'.
Gender: Female
Age: Somewhere in her mid-30's??? Though thanks to modern-day medicine, she doesn't look much older than 25. Also I seriously need to get this whole timeline thing straight
Species: Nandu
Description:
Nandu species
Homeworld: Selhjei
Classification: Advanced Humanoid
Scientific Name: Homo sapiens pluvius
Status: Critically Endangered
Estimated Population: Due to the species' inherent territorialism, unwillingness to merge with other cultures, and strong tribal ties, as well as strict policies regulating emigration and death penalties for desertion, the estimated remaining population after their planet was wiped out is estimated to be only between 1000 to 3000 scattered across human space.

The Nandu species is biologically very similar to humans; one of the only main physiological differences being that the appendix has been restored to its original purpose of digesting raw plant matter, which, being primarily rainforest-dwellers, makes up a large majority of their diet. They are, however, quite easy to tell apart from other humanoids. Their skin is thicker, and, with the exception of a few small tribes which had a decent portion of albino individuals, highly pigmented. Skin colors range anywhere across the normal human skin tone spectrum, but also almost all other colors of the rainbow. Most are also born with complex and individual patterns on their skin. The skin itself is smooth and leathery, and its texture has been compared to dolphin skin. They are also completely hairless; rather than hair on their heads, they have webbed crests that run from the top of the forehead to the start of the neck (these are often larger in males). Due to the fact that most Nandu were not allowed to marry outside their 'tribe' (which could sometimes be several thousand individuals strong), individuals from different tribes can differ immensely when it comes to color and patterning, and those in the same tribe will commonly have similar patterns/colors over some range.
The Nandu were arguably a very advanced species, with a complex social hierarchy and culture which revolved around war, honor, and tribal conflicts. This fact made Nandu weapons some of the most sought-after in the Syndicate; however, Nandu were reluctant to trade weapons, as they believed in a spiritual connection between the weapon and its intended wielder, and refused to give out information regarding how, exactly, the weapons were made, so some of their techniques remain a mystery.
The society itself collapsed during a war between the Nimburu and Sokshola, two of the largest Nandu tribes. The Nandu had a strict moral code, and ordinarily, causing damage to a tribe's civilian population would be regarded as ten times worse than losing the battle. The Nandu tribe, however, created a biological weapon, a virus which was intended to be quarantined within a specific area and was not supposed to spread beyond the enemy's soldiers. Needless to say, that didn't work out quite so well; nobody is exactly sure how the virus made it through (it is speculated it hitched a ride on some form of small, burrowing mammal). However it happened, within months, due to practically no communication or cooperation between tribes, the virus had managed to wipe out the entirety of the Nandu population.

Image
Turquoise skin; yellow/orange stripe and dot markings; bright orange eyes; still wears her old Nandu military commander uniform, as well as a pair of black gloves. Often carries around her old direct energy gun weapon, which, like other Nandu, she seems to have quite a bit of emotional connection to. (That little squiggle on the gun was her tribe's symbol or something I dunno.) Only about 5'4, but has an athletic build; very strong and agile, and generally not someone you want to mess with, unless you happen to be stronger and more agile *cough* Palva *cough*
I'm too lazy to describe her personality so there we have it yaay *throws sparkles*
there's more stuff I could say but I don't want a massive post and such so I'm done here

I must say I agree with this; it leaves us more freedom in the roleplay, and if someone becomes inactive it'll make it less awkward trying to integrate the characters they were interacting with back into the roleplay. I think the characters will just naturally split off anyways, so sectioning it off into premade groups wouldn't have much of a point except for restricting characters to only interacting with a set limit of people.

Okie doke, makes sense. All one group then! So why are they in the room? Why do they want to get out? How did they get there? There has to be a little bit of plot to start it off of, or all the characters will just be standing there.

Fine by me ^^

Well, we could go with a cliche "they all woke up in there with no memory" sort of thing. no original ideas whatsoever
