- Like I've said previously, I'm moreso of a visual learner than physical when it comes to art. However, I think the basics to learning animals is similar to humans.
Search for art examples online, in this case real photos or realistic/stylistic art, and try and copy it. Also I do suggest watching videos of animals you want to draw and learning their mannerisms! It helps you with proportions, motions, species types and their native colors--and you get to learn about a cool animal.
But looking at others who also do realism art can help a bit--I have a friend who does primarily realism and when you got someone to look up to in that field and learning their tricks/methods, it can be handy.
