Brighteyes nodded "It's not for everyone.. Much like having kits." she said. "My sister Petalpelt was a real motherly type.. I on the other paw.. I feel like its not as easy for me." she laughed softly. "I hate being stuck in the nursery all the time.. I hate sitting still." she said.

Embergaze laughed nervously "I promise not to send you on extra patrols if you make me mad." she said attempting to lighten the mood. She paused for a moment "Assignments are.. always pretty awkward.. I didn't expect you either I thought maybe.. someone I was friends with already but.. I was hoping at the very least we could possibly become friends eventually." she said. That would make it work wouldn't it? That was what many of these were, weren't they? Embergaze didn't know a lot about love, every time she thought she did she got it wrong. But what she assumed was that most mates were just good friends. That seemed to be the nature of the clan at least to her.

Ravenwind seemed just as relieved as Brackenfall even though he didn't shout his worries as loud as Brackenfall did. "I wish it didn't have to be like this." he said frowning. Darkgaze padded out of the warrior's den his yellow gaze moving past Frostpetal for a moment and a look of sympathy crossed his face before he looked away. He understood heartache well. Though it may be in a slightly different way. Darkgaze had, had two cats now that he'd loved and lost. Which seemed to be the reason he never spoke to his assigned mate or anyone really in a more romantic sense.

Hawktalon snorted slightly as Briarheart joined them though he couldn't mask the happiness that shone in his eyes when she came over. Rowanflame kept quiet while she explained, looking around every now and then to check their surroundings as the two warriors made their way along the border. "When Crowstrike comes back, I'm sure we will know a bit more details." he meowed, trying to be reassuring. He knew firsthand how hard it was not knowing if the ones close to you were alright.

Crowstrike smiled, tipping his head slightly to the side. "So are you a medicine cat in your clan ?" he asked, curious to know if they had the same way of working as Duskclan did, the same kind of rules. But he doubted it, since these seemed to be mostly cats that left Duskclan and hopefully founded something better.

Echosong stirred, waking up from a peaceful, dreamless sleep. The sounds of camp reached her even in the back of the warrior's den and she knew it was about time to get up and get some work done. She stretched her muscles and shook out her fur before cleaning it thoroughly to get out any remaining pieces of moss that had gotten stuck in her pelt while she slept. When she was all done, Echosong padded out of the den and looked around. She spotted Hawkeye sitting not far away from the fresh-kill pile and decided to go talk to him. Walking over, she said with a smile, "Good morning."

Icestorm

Icestorm glanced at Silentstream when the she-cat told her the news, but she just shrugged it off, "It was about time anyway." With that, the white-furred warrior headed out of the den, letting out a hiss of annoyance when the bright sun shone into her eyes.

Thistletuft perched on a branch lazily, his hind leg and tail dangling in the air as he gazed below. From his vantage point he could clearly see the camp entrance and the chocolate colored tom watched with a disinterested look as cats entered and left the camp.

Sandcloud padded through the forest and breathed in the fresh air, tasting it for any signs of prey trails. She could distinguish a faint scent of rabbit, a few birds and a squirrel not far from where the two cats were standing. Choosing to go after the squirrel, Sandcloud lowered herself into a hunting crouch and started creeping towards her prey.

Wolfheart crept through the undergrowth, his steps silent despite the many crunchy leaves and small sticks underfoot. He kept his gaze pinned solely on his prey, a plump squirrel he was stalking. The creature was sitting at the roots of a tree, contently chewing on a nut of some sort. When he was close enough, Wolfheart leapt forward, landing squarely on the fluffy creature. Pinning it with his claws he killed it with a swift bite to the neck.

He wobbled a bit, but tried to push his weight into his back legs. He didn’t end up doing that. Foxpaw stalked fairly quietly over to some bushes near the pond. He was careful not to rustle the branches. Foxpaw stood up behind the frog, making sure his shadow faced behind him. He lifted up and his paw and extended his claws.he pounced swiping at the frog with his paw. It jumped still dazed. Foxpaw jumped at it again and pounced nibbling it. He didn’t want to kill it seeming cats didn’t really eat frogs. So he just bounced it on the ground making sure it passed out before he gently picked it up in his jaws.

Her voice boomed from around the camp as she remembered the flood. Once her clan had gathered around her, she scanned the crowd for young kits and saw none; all she saw were the three the 6-moon-old cats. With a proud smile, the leader purred, "Treekit, Silverkit and Volekit, step forward. You have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed." Her eyes shone as she dipped her head to the three kits. She overheard two of them talking before about being apprenticed and knew it was time. "From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Treepaw, Silverpaw and Volepaw. Treepaw, your mentor will be Darkgaze. I hope he will pass down all he knows on to you. Volepaw, your mentor will be Hawktalon. I hope he will pass down all he knows onto you too. Silverpaw, your mentor will be me. I know I will pass down all I know onto you as well. Now, Darkgaze and Hawktalon, step forward." She nodded to the new mentors and began speaking again. "Darkgaze, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from whoever you were mentored by cause I don't know, and you have shown yourself to be brave and strong..? You will be the mentor of Treepaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to him. you are also ready to take on an apprentice. You have also received excellent training from, again, whoever you were mentored by and you have shown yourself to be strong and.. helpful? You will be the mentor of Volepaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to him."

Rosestar nodded and took a small moment to breathe before announcing again, "Yet that is not all. We have new warriors as well. Spottedpaw and Shadepaw step forward." Seeing the two cats made her smile again before continuing, "I, Rosestar, leader of DuskClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn. Shadepaw and Spottedpaw, do you two promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" She paused, allowing them to say their 'I do's before nodding, "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior names. Spottedpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Spottedsong. StarClan honors your confidence. Shadepaw, from this moment on you will be known as Shadewing. StarClan honours your friendliness, and we welcome you as full warriors of Duskclan." She leaped down and rested her muzzle on each of their heads, allowing them to lick her shoulders. "Clan Dismissed."

Volepaw glanced excitedly to his family, well his parents, when the meeting was called. The small tom perked his ears the mentors were called out, excitement fizzling at his pelt as he spotted Hawktalon. Volepaw wanted to squeal in excitement but bit his tongue. He let his attention run over to Treepaw, watching how he'd be reacting to his new mentor for a moment before dragging his attention to the two new warriors of the clan. As the ceremonies came to a close Volepaw padded right over to Hawktalon, smiling brightly at his new mentor. "I'm so happy you're my mentor Hawktalon!!",he squeaked out happily.

Briareyes's tail twitched with anxious thoughts as the meeting was called, her gaze trapped on her two kittens. Once their mentors and the new warriors were announced she let out a content purr,"Rosestar chose some great mentors, won't you say Swiftleap? Even Volepaw got your brother, that's quite some luck." She licked his cheek affectionately. "Let's give them some time to get to know their mentors and later, once they're free, we can bother them?"

Dustfang let out an angry hiss, his head spinning from all the noise of the twoleg place. Why had that stupid furless beast picked him up and dragged him to Starclan knows where? He let out a disgusted sound as he passed some trash, not knowing exactly where to go to get home. His pelt was shaved down, a feeling so foreign to him that he couldn't bear to rest or he'd think about it. As he continued on his way, his paws starting to ache, and his breathing getting rough, he called out in frustration,"Where in Starclan AM I?!"

She looked as the Foxpaw as the tom catched the frog, she blinked as she buried her bird. Tail flicking she sniffed the forest for something else to be found, it didn't take long for her to notice a mice near a rock. Stalking it she leaped into it and quickly killed it. Proudly about herself she noticed something else too 'is that a snake? but why it's not moving?' she thought herself.

She sniffed the air as she walked forward ears flicking when Sandcloud spotted the squirrel and choised to chase it. Instead she focused to the birds which eated to the other side of the tree where the squirrel was. She carefully walked closer, making her stalker position before she jumped at them, easely catching on of the birds, but sadly the few others was too fast for her.
