Wolfpaw was sitting alone, eating a thrush in camp. He had recently stocked up the fresh-kill pile with three mice and a squirrel, and felt pleased with himself. He especaially liked sitting alone, as the murmurs of cats seemed more distant and quiet, and he felt peaceful. Wolfpaw did sorta like the company of his sister, Silverpaw, however. She seemed to understand when he wanted to be alone. Though, she would be nice to him at night when it was time to rest. Wolfpaw wondered where she was. He hadn't seen her in a bit.

Silverpaw was grooming her fur. She felt very dissapointed with herself, today. She only caught a meesly mouse, and it was thin and old. Silverpaw sighed. She loved to hunt, but her brother was so much better than she was. I wish I was good as him. She thought miserably.
