"Yeah. I know she will be a great leader. She had the traits of a leader." He admitted. Of course now he was wondering about the other newer clan that lived nearby. He didn't know the name of it but he had seen cats from it. They smelled different so it was either a new clan or a group of cats wondering around. Either way, they didn't seem like a threat to DuskClan.

The deputy watched his leader die in front of him. He didn't believe he was ready himself. How would he lead a clan? "I just... is StarClan really sure I'm ready? I believe them but..." he trailed off knowing there was no going back now. He was going to have to tell the clan Wolfstar was dead and he had to get his nine lives and appoint a new deputy soon. "I better go and announce to the clan that Wolfstar is dead."

The tom continued to watch his two little kits play. They were perfect. He knew they would grow up to be great cats one day. They were growing up quickly too. Even at a moon old those little kits were getting big. In a matter of moons they will be exploring beyond the den and even learning how to become real cats and survive out in the wild.

Shadowsneak grinned as Spottedpaw and Vipercry conversed, and twitched his whiskers noticing the two warriors looking over. "No need to get your tail in a twist, I'm sure it's nothing bad," he reassured them. "I doubt anyone could come between you two...you seem very close." Mischievously, he teased them, and narrowed his eyes while arching an eyebrow. "Interesting..." He choked back a purr of amusement. I'm so happy for them though! I hope Rosethorn will like me the same way, someday...

Hadn't made a noise, hadn't tried struggling, but she knew she was alive as she saw the rising and falling flank of the tiny kitten. Her kits were finally a moon old and soon might learn to walk. She glanced to Mistyfalls, "Hello Misty!" she greeted, tail flicking.

The queen purred a warm greeting to the smaller cat,"Good morning Ivypaw, I hope you guys have fun with that." Her whiskers twitched in amusement as she watched Treekit and Volekit interacting with the others for a moment. She loomed over the prey that Swiftleap had brought the group and took a few bites quietly before returning her attention to Swiftleap,"You always catch the juiciest prey Swiftleap, how do you do it?" A soft chuckle escaped her lungs at the end of her sentiment.

Volekit jumped onto the hype train with Treekit, excited to see what Ivypaw was going to show them once Briareyes nodded to the apprentice. His tail stuck straight out and he fidgeted in place, trying his hardest to contain his excitement over the idea of learning like an apprentice already.

Timberheart flickered his ears backwards in irritation at Rosethorn's hiss, an angry glare being shot her way. "You could have just asked like any normal cat would have", he thought spitefully to himself. His tail flicked back and forth in agitation as he got up and padded over, a bundle of traveling herbs in tow. "I can see youre already having a wonderful day Rosethorn",he meowed sarcastically, his irritable and short-tempered nature getting the best of his tone. Though the tom had a strong distaste for power over others, he tried to calm down. After all Rosethorn was just excited for her leader ceremony and it seemed like the others were each busy, except Raggedpaw who was sleeping. "Raggedpaw, could you finish taking care of the herbs? I'm going out with Rosethorn to get her nine lives", the tom nudged at the apprentice's side.

Cliffleg trudged back to camp, her whiskers twitching at the warm prey in her jaw. She'd spent much of the morning so far out, even if enjoying the rising sun wasn't exactly a warrior duty. Her sleek pelt moved with the shadows as she slid back to camp, as soundlessly as a snake.

Frostpaw shot up from his nest, his pelt springing multiple directions. "Ah sorry!",the tom called and shook out his pelt trying to lay it back down. He always let down his mentor by sleeping in so late, or so he felt secretly. The silver tom tried to flash his mentor a smile, only to nearly trip over another apprentice.

Embergaze laughed nervously "I promise not to send you on extra patrols if you make me mad." she said attempting to lighten the mood. She paused for a moment "Assignments are.. always pretty awkward.. I didn't expect you either I thought maybe.. someone I was friends with already but.. I was hoping at the very least we could possibly become friends eventually." she said. That would make it work wouldn't it? That was what many of these were, weren't they? Embergaze didn't know a lot about love, every time she thought she did she got it wrong. But what she assumed was that most mates were just good friends. That seemed to be the nature of the clan at least to her.

Ravenwind let out a soft sigh "I hope this will be a good change for us." he said his ears flicking slightly "We've suffered enough.. I hope this new leaf.. And this new leader will be the beginning of something good for all of us." he said. Though he felt a flicker of doubt.. That was probably because he was a rule breaker.. And he knew it.. Even if very few cats knew. He wasn't sure if Windsong had told her sibling but.. He'd broken down and told Brackenfall considering it was his assigned mate. He felt guilty, he should have told Aspensong as well..

Though it may be in a slightly different way. Darkgaze had, had two cats now that he'd loved and lost. Which seemed to be the reason he never spoke to his assigned mate or anyone really in a more romantic sense.

Hawktalon snorted slightly as Briarheart joined them though he couldn't mask the happiness that shone in his eyes when she came over. I think Rosethorn is going to be busy with her nine lives so we have plenty of time to do stuff." she said flicking her tail.
