“I’m sure they wouldn’t mind. Hollowcliff might think it’s a good idea.” Smokepaw meowed, glancing towards the nursery. “I’d love to train together.”

“Let’s go and see where it leads.” Mousekit said as she stretched and groomed herself before smiling at her brother. She still didn’t believe their mother’s story from a moon ago. It bothered her that they were still being treated as kits. In a moon they would have had their apprentice ceremony. “I just wish we could find Duskclan.” She said. “Anyway let’s see where this hole leads. I’m going to have fun just getting out of here.” She added, smiling once more.

Crowstrike

Crowstrike noticed Rowanflame sitting alone and made his way over to the ginger tom. "Good morning, you're up early." he commented, dropping down on the grass beside his friend. Even if nothing had been quite the same ever since the flood, Crowstrike knew he could always count on Rowanflame to be there, keeping things as normal and stable as possible. That was why seeing the warrior sitting there with a typically stoic look on his face like any other morning, made him feel like everything would eventually go back to normal and it would be alright, despite all the losses they had suffered

Echosong stirred, waking up from a peaceful, dreamless sleep. The sounds of camp reached her even in the back of the warrior's den and she knew it was about time to get up and get some work done. She stretched her muscles and shook out her fur before cleaning it thoroughly to get out any remaining pieces of moss that had gotten stuck in her pelt while she slept. When she was all done, Echosong padded out of the den and looked around. She spotted Hawkeye sitting not far away from the fresh-kill pile and decided to go talk to him. Walking over, she said with a smile, "Good morning."

Bayclaw bid her sister a farewell and headed over to her two clanmates who were sitting together. "Good morning." she greeted before she glanced over her shoulder "I think Embergaze is busy embarrassing herself over there with her new assigned mate.. So I don't think we're getting any real patrols any time soon." she shrugged and looked back at them "Do you know if anyones gone out on a border patrol yet? I figured i'd ask a few cats before I went out on one." she said.

Brighteyes watched Bayclaw leave then let out a sigh and looked out towards the camp quietly.

Embergaze laughed nervously "I promise not to send you on extra patrols if you make me mad." she said attempting to lighten the mood. She paused for a moment "Assignments are.. always pretty awkward.. I didn't expect you either I thought maybe.. someone I was friends with already but.. I was hoping at the very least we could possibly become friends eventually." she said. That would make it work wouldn't it? That was what many of these were, weren't they? Embergaze didn't know a lot about love, every time she thought she did she got it wrong. But what she assumed was that most mates were just good friends. That seemed to be the nature of the clan at least to her.

Frostpetal

Frostpetal turned her head looking over at the two warriors and the apprentice before she smirked. "Ahh, her last patrol before she's a warrior." she said flicking her tail. "Sounds good to me. Wanna go ask?" she asked turning her head to look back at Shadowstrike.

Ravenwind followed after her, glancing over at Darkgaze with a frown. The tom seemed like more of a loner than a clan cat at times. He wondered if he was lonely. Shaking his head he quickly focused on Cranespirit again and continued along quietly. He thought about asking her about her assigned mate but figured better not.

Darkgaze padded out of the warrior's den his yellow gaze moving past Frostpetal for a moment and a look of sympathy crossed his face before he looked away. He understood heartache well. Though it may be in a slightly different way. Darkgaze had, had two cats now that he'd loved and lost. Which seemed to be the reason he never spoke to his assigned mate or anyone really in a more romantic sense.

Swiftleap

Swiftleap felt the tips of his ears heat up "I believe I may have been the lucky one." he murmured to her. He was incredibly grateful to have been assigned to Briareyes. Back then he'd been a little more out going, very talkative. But he'd always had an eye on Briareyes and had always admired her. He'd been pretty excited when they were assigned and he could get to know her better. But he'd never expected to be able to have such a loving relationship. It reminded him of the stories of his parents. And he was grateful he could experience the same thing they had.

Hawktalon snorted slightly as Briarheart joined them though he couldn't mask the happiness that shone in his eyes when she came over. They'd seemingly lost everything and put the pieces back together and it drew him to her more and more every day. He was especially greatful Acornkit seemed to take to her too.

Stormyskies headed out of camp, he was silent at first as they put distance between them and the camp. Finally he looked over at her "Hey Waterflight?" he said before he glanced away nervously "You know.. I'm really glad about the way things worked out." he said. "When my friend left the clan I missed her but it took so much pressure off me... I don't feel bad for wanting to do what I wanted to do. And we got to get closer and i'm very grateful for it." he said.

They'll help to guide you." he laid his head down then. "I have no regrets about my decisions or StarClans.. I'll meet you again when you get your nine lives." he said softly before he looked towards Rainysplash. "But Petalpelt is here now.. And i've got to go. And you've got to get your nine lives." he said before his eyes closed and the grey tom was gone.

Shadowstep dragged himself out of the warrior's den blinking slowly against the harsh morning light. His ears twitched, should he head out hunting? It was a warm newleaf day, Snowpetal would be hungry soon wouldn't she? She deserved something fresh didn't she?

Rainysplash frowned when her uncle looked over at her, she wasn't sure if really saw Petalpelt or if he was just confused. But for a moment it did seem like he was looking past her.. She glanced over her shoulder but of course no one was there. She shook herself slightly before she stood up. Padding over to Wolfstar she nosed him gently then looked at Copperfang. "I'm sorry Copperfang.. I know this is very sudden but.. He believes in you. And i'm sure the rest of the clan does too." she said.

Crowstrike turned his head when he heard Bayclaw approach and smiled at her in greeting, "Good morning." Following her gaze he then noticed Embergaze talking to Brackenpelt, an air of awkwardness hanging around them and he couldn't help but chuckle. "Well, I'd certainly give her points for trying." He hadn't seen his own assigned mate that morning yet, but he wasn't that inclined to go looking for her either. Crowstrike saw her simply as a friend and the feeling was quite obviously mutual.

Rowanflame

"No one has gone out as far as I know." It was possible that he missed a patrol leaving, but he didn't see anyone since he woke up.

“Okay! Thanks for the mouse.” Silverkit meowed before running up to Ivypaw. “I’d like to come along.” She purred.

“I’m just going to see if Hollowcliff doesn’t mind at least.” Smokepaw mewed before padding towards Hollowcliff. “Hollowcliff, Do you think it would be alright if Twistedpaw and I trained together?” She asked, hoping her mentor didn’t mind.

“Well if I ever see another Duskclan cat I’m going to ask to go back. But until then I will stay with you.” Mousekit said padding through the hole, curious as to where it would lead.

Blazepaw was glad to see Embergaze was back. She almost padded over but decided to let Brackenpelt and the deputy talk alone, unless Embergaze needed her for anything.

Silencedapple stood, looking at her kits. "While i was lost, i found something. Kits, we are going to join a clan again." She mewed, and scooped her kits onto her back. Making sure they didn't fall, Silencedapple followed a familiar scent trail to the DawnClan camp. Spotting her sister, Silencedapple froze. "S-Snowpetal?" Silencedapple let her kits off her back and nuzzled her sister. "You're here? And your having kits? Wait now? My StarClan, is there a medicine cat round here?"

“Dawnclan? But mother, I don’t want to fight anyone in Duskclan. I want to go back to Duskclan. You never gave us a choice when you dragged us from Duskclan. Well in a moon we will be apprentices and I want to be a Duskclan apprentice!” Mousekit meowed. Mousekit was only loyal to Duskclan.

Briareyes was about to respond before she spotted Ivypaw and waited for her to finish speaking. The queen purred a warm greeting to the smaller cat,"Good morning Ivypaw, I hope you guys have fun with that." Her whiskers twitched in amusement as she watched Treekit and Volekit interacting with the others for a moment. She loomed over the prey that Swiftleap had brought the group and took a few bites quietly before returning her attention to Swiftleap,"You always catch the juiciest prey Swiftleap, how do you do it?" A soft chuckle escaped her lungs at the end of her sentiment.

Volekit jumped onto the hype train with Treekit, excited to see what Ivypaw was going to show them once Briareyes nodded to the apprentice. His tail stuck straight out and he fidgeted in place, trying his hardest to contain his excitement over the idea of learning like an apprentice already.

Timberheart's figure appeared at the camp entrance, his senses clogged with the scents of herbs. He hardly noticed his clan mates in passing, focusing so intently on his task that he didn't even notice Rosethorn while on his way to drop herbs into the medicine storage. Within moments the tom was shifting around herbs silently, intent on his task and unwavering with his attention.

Cliffleg trudged back to camp, her whiskers twitching at the warm prey in her jaw. She'd spent much of the morning so far out, even if enjoying the rising sun wasn't exactly a warrior duty. Her sleek pelt moved with the shadows as she slid back to camp, as soundlessly as a snake.

Frostpaw shot up from his nest, his pelt springing multiple directions. "Ah sorry!",the tom called and shook out his pelt trying to lay it back down. He always let down his mentor by sleeping in so late, or so he felt secretly. The silver tom tried to flash his mentor a smile, only to nearly trip over another apprentice.
