Wolves of the Arial Fighters

"Smoldering Ash, Toxic Fumes. Dying Men, explosive plumes."

It was inevitable. The fall and ultimate destruction of the human race. Once war broke out, it was only a matter of time before the weapons they created to protect them lead to their demise. What they left was a destroyed and toxic earth. Trenches, barbed wire, piles of dead, pools of blood and a killer gas that consumed the air. Whatever creatures that survived, well they adapted. That too was inevitable. One of them being the wolves, a determined group who defied the odds and took to the sky. They claimed their right to live, and with a quick climb, topped the food chain and were dangerous contenders who had no equal.

This is the New earth after the destruction of World War III.

Information

Wolves appeared sometime after the destruction and annihilation of the human race on the planet earth. The wolves were not a new species, rather an adaption to the old that had died out after the sun had extinguished.

•Characteristics•
-Glowing markings light the way during flight and provide their bodies with an unlimited power source.
-Wings grew in not long after, but can be tucked away. Wings are a thin filmy like material but extremely durable.
-Fur is short, which is a positive and negative thing. It helps the wolves to be more arodynamic, but at the same time provides little protection against the harsh cold.

-Arial wolves strongest points are their jaws, and their wings. Both are extremely powerful and have to be.
-Lean and stalky
-Intelligent
-Organized
-Brave
-Honorable

•Core Groups•
-They work and move in core teams which are branches of the main group. Each branch is about 5-10 strong depending on the numbers. These other members in the core group are 'family' and treated as such.
-There is no direct leader or chief. All core groups have a leader, and each leader voices the other wolves in his group, almost like a republic or democracy.

•Home Grounds•
-Live on two different fronts located only a mile apart from each other. One is on the war zone in pre-dug tunnels which were created by the humans in WW3 before their extinction. The other is in a cliffside inside the highly adapted forest.
-In the distance of either camp there is a bright orange-yellow light that glows always throughout the night [which now lasts forever]It's a forest of trees, forbidden to visit and impossible. The raw power it posesses could kill any creature within a mile radius.
-This forest is basically the nightlight or the flame that flickers in the unending darkness.

•Breeding•
They only breed when they have found a soul mate. When that mate is found the pair takes off into the sky and does a graceful dance around each other. 9 months later pups are born. Pup numbers range depending on parents. There isn't a large fatality rate, but many have been known to be killed and eaten by the lurking creatures of the night.

•Accessories•
-Goggles are earned by the pup as a right of passage to adulthood. The goggles are unique to the wolf and represent them
-Other accessories such as ear piercings, necklaces, etc. is not found originally on the wolf but you may add some if you desire^^

•Armor•
-Every wolf gets armor, and again each armor piece is unique to the wolf. The armor typically is gauntlets and back leg coverings. Unless the wolf is lead in a core group, will not receive a head armor piece.
-Armor is made up of left over metal from the weapons, tanks and other things left by the humans.
-Armor has glowing sphere's in the same color of their glowing markings.
