Short Story: It's perfectly fine to dub Caballero as the "bad boy", in fact you're very welcome to and walk away. But on a side note; don't give him a reason to hate you. The end result will not be something to admire. Although he would seem selfish enough to protect himself, Caballero does actually care about the well beings of others.

The first time I encountered him was while I had foolishly stayed in the forest, admiring the stars that appeared beyond the trees. As one thing led to the next I was running, easily being mistaken for prey as my ankles were being clawed in attempt to slow me down. Eventually, I greeted a raging river, however I was sure that the cold rushing water had no mercy for me to cross. And so I was helplessly trapped, surrounded by a pack of wolves. The hunters didn't hesitate to pounce and I prepared for the worst as I closed my eyes; knowing that I was to be eaten. But the attack that was expected never came, instead I heard growls erupting. Surrendering a peak, I saw what I knew was a Rithicoan intercepting whatever attack came my way, a creature determined to protect and stand his ground.

Once the wolvesfled, the Rithicoan nudged at my hand. After recovering from shock a smile grew across my lips and I let a hand stroke through his fur. Since then, he's been reagarded as my knight in shining armour.

Short Story: Licking off his chops, he rose to his feet and sniffed his surroundings. As he turned to leave, he realized a scent lay on the wind... a recent one. Debating between his cautious predatory side and his inner demon, he chose to follow the scent to see where it led. With his nose to the ground, he walked to a nearby clearing where the trail ran cold. Nothing there. Or so he thought. Disgusted with himself and his foolish behavior and turned around and started to walk away. Then he heard the soft patter of feet. Continuing to walk as if he had not heard the stray noise, he monitored to make sure the creature was heading towards him. After reaching a rock stream-bed, his comfort zone, he snapped around and saw...
