Why would you like this character/What will you do for this character?:1)
Why would you like this character?I think that she looks very beautiful and unique, and I could go on for the longest time dwelling on her beauty. <3 I would love to use her for some roleplays and find her a nice, loving mate. <3 I could imagine the foal and how much he or she would resemble their mother. <3 I would love for her to be the sister of my own character, Lemon, which I adopted from some one who no longer had the place for her. The designs are similar enough and I believe that their personalities would fit rather well together. I adore her pink accessories and her face, seemingly happy, but somewhat worn down. I would love to provide her a loving home and give her a special spot in my heart. ;D

What will you do for this character? She will be added to my equine characters list. It lacks many members, and I would like to add her right below Lemon. I will roleplay with her and breed her, and I plan to both order and make fanart of her. I may even attempt at her accessories. <3 I plan to write a more solid story about her history, and I would like for her to always be mine. I can guarantee her a forever home, not only in my character thread, but also in my heart. <3 What a lovely horse she is.
Personality:Ida is very capable of work, and she's a sweetheart to her owner and sister. She is known to sometimes be a bit bitter, but only because things get harder as you age. She does however still have a young and spirited side to her, and you can often win her over with an apple or some sugar cubes. She loves being ridden and visiting her sister, and there's not a place that she'd rather be than her corral in the country, Emily on her back or at her side.
History:WIP
{Basically, right now I have a story line. She and her sister, Lemon, were auctioned off and sent away from her mother. A kind girl belonging to a rather wealthy family came and bid on the both of them, but later sold Lemon off. She, {Emily}, kept Ida, and Lemon and Ida saw each other from time to time. It's still a rather work in progress, but I plan to hopefully have it all done before the code drop tonight. Looks like I have quite some work to do! ^^}Here goes nothing. :3
Ida stamped her hoove gently on the ground. "Lemon, come here," she whispered, her eyes wide with curiousity.
"What is it?" asked Lemon. Her twin sister seemed to be a little bit... nervous.
"Look at all of these people," said Ida, motioning with her head towards the crowd as Lemon came closer.
"I know," replied Lemon. "What do you think they're here for?"
Ida pondered at the idea for a moment. They were at their stables, as usual, but there was one thing. Momma was nowhere to be found, and several people were there. The pair of them had been tied up to a small pole, standing just in front of the audience. All eyes seemed to be on them. Lemon seemed to share the same idea and worry as she looked down at Ida, slightly shorter than she.
"I don't like this," said Ida, not as confident as she usually was. The two were simply foals! What were they doing away from their mother? "Where's Momma?" she continued to talk, the worry building up inside of her until it felt that her chest would explode.
"I have a feeling that we won't be seeing Momma," said Lemon, sadness filling her eyes.
The two of them stopped their whinnies as a man came and untied their ropes. He took them by the lead, standing in the center of the platform in front of the audience.
"Quiet!" he yelled. "May I have quiet please?" The audience around went from excited yells to hushed whispers in a matter of seconds. "Thank you," he said. He raised his voice, "Today we are here to auction off two fillies, both dappled grey. They can go as a pair or seperately. We will try for a pair." He hesitated for a moment, playing numbers out in his head. "Let's start at one thousand for the two of them."
This was a generally low price, and a man with a southern accent raised his sign proudly and yelled, "One thousand!" proclaiming that he would wish to buy the two at one thousand dollars. At that moment, it all clicked in Ida's head. "Lemon," she said. "They're, they're..." she drifted off sadly.
"Yes," said Lemon. "They're selling us."
A lot of commotion had raised in the crowd as the foals were having the quiet discussion, and at this point the bid had gone up to $3,500. The pair of them stood helplessly, wondering about the lives that they were about to enter.
In the crowd, a girl of about twelve, with chestnut brown hair and freckles on her face, tugged on her father's shirt. "Oh, Dad," she said. "Please, oh please, put a bid in?" It was her birthday, and she would love nothing more than to own her own horse.
The father looked down kindly at his daughter. He knew that ever since she had been a little girl, she'd been infatuated by and with horses. She'd never wanted anything more. He stood up, calling out clearly, "$5,000 for the pair!"
The girl, shocked, looked up at her dad, her eyes filling with surprise and happiness. "Oh, Poppa!" she yelled. She hadn't known whether to believe that he would put his money in or not! The father looked down at her, his face with a gentle smile.
At the platform, the auctioneer struggled to keep the bids coming. At last he said, "$5,000 going once! Going twice! Sold!"
The girl jumped up out of her seat, running to the platform. The auctioneer tapped her shoulder and winked, "Now you take good care of them," he said. "That there one is Lemon," he said, pointing to the slightly larger of the two with ice blue eyes. "And this here," he said, tilting his head to the side. "Well that's Ida," he said.
The girl looked back to see her father following her as he said with a smile, "Happy Birthday, Emily." He handed the auctioneer a check for five thousand dollars, taking the lead of Lemon as Emily took Ida.
♥ ~ ♥ ~ ♥
Years passed and both the girl and the two horses aged. After a while, though it broke her heart, Emily had to let Lemon go, due to family issues with the money. Ida was never quite the same without her other half, her twin... but Emily did her best to ensure that Ida was always her own. She fed her apples daily, and took her for rides. At sun-down she would run a brush through Ida's hair and give her a nice grooming. And afterwards she would feed her sugar cubes as she read books to her, sitting under her favorite tree. There was never a stronger bond between horse and owner, owner and horse.
After a few more years passed, Emily headed off to college, wishing to take Ida with her. Now Ida is sad and older, but she still has a bit of a young spirit to her. She is owned by a horse farm, one that Lemon, too, would later find herself resident at, and enjoys giving young children rides. Sometimes she likes to remember Emily and hope that one day she'll come back for her. One day.
Other:Once again, I appreciate the chance to try out for both Siyori and Ida. If they are not adopted out to someone else, and/or I do not win them this time, I will continue to persevere for the both of them. <3 They've won a lovely spot in my heart, and I very much hope to be adding them to my characters family, getting fanart and roleplaying their lives out. ;D It's been a lovely opportunity, and I plan on coming back to SLAP many more times. <3
