Wikipedia wrote:Dalmatian puppies are born with plain white coats and their first spots usually appear within three weeks after birth. After about a month, they have most of their spots, although they continue to develop throughout life at a much slower rate. Spots are most commonly black or brown (liver) on a white background. Other, more rare colors, include blue (a blue-grayish color), brindle, mosaic, tricolored (with tan spotting on the eyebrows, cheeks, legs, and chest), and orange or lemon (dark to pale yellow). Patches of color appear anywhere on the body, mostly on the head or ears, and usually consist of a solid color. The Dalmatian coat is usually short, fine, and dense, although smooth-coated Dalmatians occasionally produce long-coated offspring, which shed less often.
HistoryIf one were to describe Aliya as being a quite, reserved and shy puppy, they'd be completely wrong. Almost as soon as she was born she was adopted by a family, for she didn't stand out to just them but to everyone who came to pick a puppy from the littler. She'd attempt to toddle over to strangers on her stubby little legs and was perfectly content just to lie on their feet. But that wasn't the only appealing aspect about her- her luxuriously long, easy-to-maintain coat and attractive spots made her a prized companion. A month or so after she'd been weaned off her mother's milk and gone to join her family, there was a terrible storm. Aliya, scared and confused, fled from the house and ran. She eventually stopped and took shelter under some trash-cans and slept there for the night, but the rain had washed away her scent and she couldn't remember how she ended up where she was in the panicked flurry of the night before.
Aliya soon found out she wasn't a street dog. She eventually grew shy of humans after one too many wacks with a broom outside a chinese take-away restaurant, and had to resort to scavenging for food from trashcans, competing with rats and much larger, vicious hounds. The day she was finally caught, she gave in without struggle. She started meekly following a woman on her way to work, who noticed the dog and warily let her sniff the woman's hand, before clipping a leash on her tattered collar- it had been so long since she'd felt the comfort of her old home she'd forgotten she was still wearing it. Aliya's ears slowly pricked and she stared intently at the woman, who started walking away slowly with Aliya padding willingly along behind her.
She got taken into a Vet surgery, where the woman worked as an administrator, and led into a large pen. When a bowl of food was placed by her, she didn't hesitate to push her nose into it and lap it all up. When she was full and watered, she lay in the corner and slept a long, peaceful sleep. When at last she awoke, she saw the same man and woman deep in conversation she couldn't understand. After a week at the Vet surgery, regaining the well-nourished state she'd been in before the storm, she went with the woman to a strange house. She spent ages running around sniffing all the smells to be sniffed, rolling around in the grassy backyard. And, after a few weeks of staying there, she began to understand that this place, with this woman, was her home now.
PersonalityLike most Dalmatians, Aliya is a good house dog. She listens to her owner, fortunately blessed with the perfect hearing 30% of the world's Dalmatians don't have, and gets along fine with all the animals and humans she meets- except for the old woman who owns the chinese take-away store down the road, which her woman never, and likely will never, understand, and the two-monthly house-cleaner who arrives with a bucket and broom in tow- but she's alright around him as soon as he sets all his gear down.
Aliya loves nothing more than to go for a walk down to the dog park with her woman and chase the tennis balls thrown down the hill-side. She makes sure to keep away from the two big Weimaraners that show up at the park occasionally, because they occasionally snap at dogs who get too sniffy, but loves to play with the little Yorkshire Terrier who frequents the park. Aaliyah is attentive and moderately easy to train with a little patience- she already knows how to run the whole trick-course at the dog park with ease. The temperature doesn't bother her too much- she's happy to bound around anywhere, no matter the weather, unless it's storming of course.
She doesn't stray too far from her woman on walks and is incredibly gentle with small children and animals alike. When let off the leash to trot alongside her owner on their walks through the heavily forested areas, she doesn't take off after bikes, dogs or even birds. She is completely loyal to her woman and puts all her faith and trust in her.

Use of pet:She'll be my main character, and once I get a tablet I'll draw fan-art of her- but for now, I'm content to just order artwork from one of the many amazing artists on CS c: If I get this character, I look forward to developing her further. I'm sure I can work on her more once I get over this awful cold :c Maybe the fact it's 2.25am has something to do with it.. eh.
Also, I did let the owner know of my applying for her and kept her gender, breed and name as asked ^-^
