A planet mostly consisting of water, and tiny speckled islands with wonderful flora... what could live here?

Out of the crystal blue sea, a little furry creature emerges. Its fur is silky soft, with sparkly eyes and two odd squid appendages sprouting from its face. It seems friendly, and eager to talk!

Rules:
- Accounts less than 2 months old on CS cannot participate in Vastrals to prevent multi-accounting, but you are
able to join the server to chat. You are unable to gain any free Vastrals in this period, including trading, joining
raffles/giveaways or being gifted.

- You are required to have an archive to own a Vastral. Either use the co-op archive or your
own (Toyhou.se/Notion/etc) but it has to be linked in the co-op thread.

- You may put your Vastrals in your signature, but it has to link back to this thread or the Toyhouse profile.

- Do not edit, trace, reuse or misuse any Vastral content.

- Be polite to community members and staff. Vastrals is run through volunteering and work made by staff
should be respected and not compared against others.

- There are specific rules for the trading, exploring, customs/breedings and shop threads, make sure to read them.

- If you were banned before the ownership transfer, you are still banned now. [15/10/2025]

Monthly Prompts

Vastrals is a lore based community, so monthly prompts are a great way to expand your
world building and earn some special currency called Sand Dollars!

A new prompt is given on the rollover to the 1st of the month, and then you have the
whole four weeks to work on your entry until the next rollover to the start of the month.

Here is a visual graph to calculate roughly how many sand dollars you can achieve, results
are posted at the end of the month which will list exactly how many you earned.
Sometimes staff favorites are picked, and may earn more!

After earning your sand dollars, visit the Shop to see what kind of special items you can get!

Rules:
- You can only pick to do ONE of the two options, art or writing. You can only submit one entry a month.

- You may draw entries in any style you want (pixel, painterly, etc) as long as they meet the requirements.
At the least, a drawing should be clean sketched with color. Animations do not earn extra.

- You do not need to own a Vastral to participate, you're able to draw or write about any
of the NPCs including Ghostie, Seashell, Donut, Syrena and Reed.

- You may use other Vastrals you do not own as an add-on to yours for "friend" interactions.
You need to have permission from the owner before starting your entry.

Strikes and Bans

Banned members will never be shown or shared to protect privacy.
We work on a 3 chance system, which goes as follows:
Unofficial warning -> Official warning 1 -> Official warning 2

If a user is hit with a second warning and repeats an offense, they will gain a 1-week mute in the server/be unable
to participate on the thread. Repeats after this will possibly be hit with a ban.

Extreme offenses like endangering people in the server (gore/nsfw/bullying/etc) will earn an instant ban, no appeals.
Offenses like tracing, plagiarizing and multi-accounting will also earn an instant ban, no appeals.
