Pyrenean Wolfhounds are a breed recently discovered roaming the Pyrenees mountains, by a group of hikers. These hikers found a small pack of the breed, and brought it to the attention of local scientists, who have deliberated and decided that these dogs originated from the Russian Wolfhound, or as they’re more commonly referred to, the Borzoi. Their theory is that a small group of them was released- perhaps escaping from a campsite or home- or a crashed truck. Over quite a long time, the dogs began to adapt slightly, and develop a hardy body, equipped with grippy paw pads that allowed for them to scale the mountains more easily. Despite being feral dogs, they have cheerful, friendly personalities, and are now open to being adopted out to homes. Although they’re quite a rare sight, scientists have begun to breed them and they’ve become a favorite among families and singles alike.

Barren walks down the sidewalk, attached to a leash his human holds. He wags his tail, taking in the city lights. As they walk past a pet store, something catches his eye....he glances at the window....and sees the most beautiful thing he has ever laid his eyes on...a bright red squeaky bone. He stops and wags his tail, barking.....his owner drags him along.. "Come on Barren. We gotta go home.." the human says, continuing to tug on the leash. Barren whimpers and drops his head before following.
Later that week his owner went to town without him. Barren looked at his toy basket and nudges things aside, taking out a ragged skunk plush with a squeaker in the tail. He plays with it for a while before getting bored....an hour later he hears the door open. He runs to the main room and runs around his owner... They go to their room and put a bag on the top shelf of their bookshelf. Barren tilts his head, but ignores it and continues to run around.
Christmas Morning
Barren sits next to his human as they get their coffee ready. They go into the main room, where the tree sits in the corner......Barren sees a small box under the tree...he tilts his head and looks at his owner. The human smiles and motions towards the box. Barren walks forward, picks it up, and brings it over, setting it on the owners lap, sitting down. The human sets it down and front of Barren....the dig tilts its head confused. He looks at his owner. The owner smiles and nods, taking a sip of his coffee. Barren barks in excitement, unwrapping it quickly, ripping off the paper and lid. He looks inside and tilts his head....he stops... inside the box....its a red squeaky bone ......he looks at his owner, his tail wagging insanely quick.
"Merry Christmas, Buddy." He smiles. Barren grabs the bone....and squeaks it and sets it down, licking his owners face.

Cerny's favorite toy is a small stuffed bear. It's been ripped, dropped in muddy puddles and lost it's eye a few times. Cerny has had his bear, Mr. Frank, even since he was a pup. It was the first thing he put his eyes on. Nothing else mattered, but this brown bear with a soft smile. He remembers bounding to the toy, bouncing up so high that his legs seemed to fly in the air, before falling right in front of the bear. Cerny had sniffed the toy, cautious, then ever so softly and carefully - he picked up the bear by his arm. Cerny fell asleep the day he found Mr. Frank wrapped around the small bear, protective beyond belief, his tail swishing lightly even in his sleep.
