screams w my mouth closed this is so beautiful
Username: dewdrop ghoul
Name: camphor
Gender: male
xxxxxxxxthunderous hoofbeats are heard throughout the day at nanab. so frequent is the noise that if one doesn't hear it on any given day, something might be wrong, and a group of caretakers is sent out to investigate.
xxxxxxxxthe stampeding belongs to a herd of beautiful pokemon— thick, sturdy bodies with tightly curled coats which give off a strong perfume. perhaps the most striking feature is their eerie beak-like face, reminiscent of a plague doctor's mask. people tend to either fall in love with these pokemon fast, or feel a creeping sense of dread upon looking into their blank, expressionless red eyes. but the spiritgoat, as they're affectionately called, pay no heed one way or the other. their mind is preoccupied with a single pressing matter; the miasma.
xxxxxxxxcamphor learned quickly after birth, as do all newborn spiritgoat, that the world is not safe. even within the closely monitored nanab sanctuary bad things can happen. and spiritgoat can't ignore their instinct to be wary of poison types. there is an ever ongoing feud between the herd and a flock of gastly and gastly fusions. the group of noxious pokemon is called the miasma, and where the spiritgoat go, the miasma is never far behind.
xxxxxxxxhis first few months within the herd were filled with anxiety. he jumped at any sudden movement, whipped his head around at any strange noise with wide eyes. camphor witnessed a few brawls between his family and the miasma and learned the skills he would need as he grew old enough to help protect the herd himself. and sure enough, he learned that his strong flowery scent acted as a sort of shield against the toxins that gastly and other poison types produced. he learned to use his growing horns to intimidate his foes, practicing butting heads with other young spiritgoat.
xxxxxxxxat about a year old, camphor had the chance to prove himself against a particularly dastardly haunter which had made a game of attacking weakened pokemon around the sanctuary. and though he ultimately lost while protecting a newborn spiritgoat, the type matchup highly favoring haunter, the rest of the herd wasn't far behind to finish what their young family member so bravely started. and the baby spiritgoat grew to look up to camphor as an older brother.
xxxxxxxxcamphor is still growing and fighting off the miasma, but he has since left to start his own herd. it's small, but their strength is impressive. with camphor as their leader, they will surely keep growing.
