The tribe's lore of the beast of the marsh is known to many. It speaks of a dog that had once gotten lost in the murky muddy waters during the wet season. This hound was long forgotten and had become a wives tale to most, to get children to avoid the dangerous mud that can suck them in and leave them stranded. Only at night have those same children seen glimpses of a dog that roamed the waters with ease, almost as a ghost themselves. No one knows what happened to the hound, only that no one has truly seen it yet. It was rumored to be a former hound of a tribesman who lost his way, the dog roaming the waters in hopes that help will coome in aid to its trapped owner but help never came. the beast growls upon approach, are you worthy enough to tame the guardian of the marsh?

--Marsh is a breed only base. For now, its a secret on what combination can make this base outside of itself. For breeding purposes, this is a black-based genetic dog.

-----10% pass rate for combination bases.
----- 25% when bred to a combo base.
----- 75% when bred to its own base.


-- Marbled Feline has a 50% pass rate. It is strictly to the marbled tabby pattern found in cats.

It is hard for anyone to approach this hound as he is timid toward new people or hounds. Only being cautious due to the past that he does possess. Though once you get to earn his trust he is still secretive. Sharing his past with only a select few due to his reserved nature. The ones he does trust he is ever so loyal too. Always ready to be at their side at a moment's notice. Strong protective hound to those he cares for and loves greatly. Being aggressive to those who hurt them or him but gentle to his friends. Easily having puppies and children take a likely on him.

Lucine regretted taking her "shortcut" through the swamp as soon as she stepped foot in it, but she was nothing if not stubborn. She could practically hear the taunts she'd no doubt have to endure from her brother once she mad it back to the reserve a whole day late. She was beginning to think all hope was lost and she was destined to die in the swamp with nothing but her pride for comfort when she saw an odd almost purple glow farther in the trees.
