The treat is heavenly on particularly hot days. He needs to lick at the ice crystals to expose the creamy, sugary texture, but once he thaws it out and savors the taste as much as he's willing, it's nothing to take it into his mouth and feel the shock of cold when he breaks it into smaller chunks. The ice doesn't last long in the heat of the day, so if he's not careful to eat it all soon, the ants start to swarm. He's finally gotten a rhythm down after a few cases of trial and error and eats it methodically when he's treated with it, but he still noses around for more of those pale yellow pieces when it's all gone.
